Girls weekend in leclaire, stopped here for lunch. Salsa had a very unique flavor, chips crisp and delicious, chicken quesadilla VERY good. Had to try the guacamole when I saw it did not have cilantro. Delicious. Great service too.

After reading the reviews online, we decided to eat here and after all the reviews were good. The food was not as good as the reviews. I ordered a steak burrito, the rice was way under cooked and hard and crunchy. There were way too...many refried beans in the burrito and they seemed canned. The meat was tender and the seasoning was just fine. The little woman ordered a few tacos and they were just Ok, nothing to write home about. We were seated outside which was fine with all of us as we had other people in the party. The service was good and the waitress was attentive and delivered lots of drinks. Thanks for that! I would say if you want American version of Mexican food then not a problem here expect nothing more. This is a hard pass for us as the food wasn't really that good, and a little pricey as well.More

We stopped in Le Clair on a road trip and walked up and down the street. We selected the Blue Iguana for dinner based on the setting in the cool historic red brick building (the former town hall I believe) - lively crowd chatting on...the front porch and the warm glow of lights and laughter within spilling out from the front door. The food was good and came out FAST - I had the signature street tacos, tasty and filling. My son had a carne asada burrito - he is a big teen-age guy, and even though he thought it was great - the serving size was so large he could not even quite finish it all. They have a great beer on tap as well - if you are an IPA fan - ask for "Psycho Sue" - ($8 for a "tall") - all in all a great atmosphere and a good dinner.More

The service was quick and our waitress was extremely nice. That was the highlight, the food was rather bland. It maybe that my taste buds run true to Tex-Mex but this food was just plain bland. I had quesadillas with carnitas and even the pork...was tasteless and lacked seasoning. The cheese was extremely heavy and made the entire meal heavy. The rice and beans on the side lacked any taste. I can not recommend this restaurant.More

We traveled to LeClaire, Iowa to take a riverboat cruise, we were looking for a place to eat before the cruise. The Blue Iguana Mexican Restaurant is just up the hill from the riverboat parking lot. We say outside on the front porch, they bring...you salsa and chips to start with. The menu is a simple one page, I had 3 enchiladas in a cream sauce, my wife had shrimp tacos, she got 3 of those as well. She had a Blue Iguana signature drink, I just had water. The process were reasonable with LeClaire being a touristy type of town. The server a nice young man was excellent and the food was very good too. We will eat there again when visiting.More

Not authentic Mexican but food was good and has a great in town vibe. Service was good. Nothing out of this world, but good experience.

We opted for the outdoor seating on a lovely spring evening and we were able to pick our seating on the front enclosed patio. I especially liked that the salt and pepper "shakers" were packaged and individual packets . This is a plus navigating a...dining experience during this covid pandemic. The waiter was very attentive without being over bearing even though we came in quite close to their closing hour. The rice and beans are a separate charge if you order a main selection. I had rice only and my companion had rice and beans. The guacamole was fair it could have used just a hint of fresh lime but the chips were outstanding . I had the chicken verde and it was delicious and appealingly served in a bowl. The strawberry margarita was average and lacked a good kick but refreshing. If in the area again we would come here again. There is off street parking and a small inside dining area.More

We always loved this restaurant but it has gone downhill. The salsa isn’t homemade anymore just canned same with the chips. My husbands steak tacos were dry snd my burrito was cold. The margaritas tasted just like mix. I won’t be back. Big disappointment

The food was delicious & very fresh. We had a variety of dishes that were all very good & freshly made. Dinner included chips & salsa also. The sides of beans and rice tasted homemade & we would definitely go back.

The food was horrible! Had poor selection on new menu! Even the beans tasted like they were burnt! We’re done - never going back! They use to be good!

This place, like a lot of restaurants, took a big hit with the C19 panic, and it has NOT recovered. Service was not very good (probably a newbie) and food was only average BUT they were open for dine-in, so we could not complain too...much. Outdoor seating facing RR tracks and river was available and heated! Place was clean, with plastic utensils wrapped up and usual hyper germ free attempts. Our burro had the beans and rice we wanted on the side, actually inside the huge burro! We shared and still had too much. With water only as drink, only 15 bucks, so very cheap and ok.More

Excellent staff service. Our server was attentive but not overbearing. We had an outside table in front, it was nice but a bit noisy from street traffic. The carnitas in my burrito was good but overpowered by the rice and beans (should have gotten carnitas...tacos). My wife had Chipotle chicken enchiladas Verde which she loved!More

Went for lunch and sitting area outside. Would suggest you sit in back patio. The sitting area out front is loud up against the main road. Server was friendly and attentive at first, however thinking she forgot about us at end of meal. Staff did...wear masks which was appreciated. Food(taco meat) was cold and small in size for price. Could jot finish meal due to "off" taste in the meat. Chips and salsa were good . Wont be back.More

We were seated on patio outside and it started raining, so they quickly reseated us inside. The food is good quality. I ordered shrimp tacos and they are street tacos, so smaller portion but good. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food.
