Good lunch menu that is well prepared and served in a convivial environment. I have been here a few times and found it consistently enjoyable.

I've had better Italian at Fazoli's.... Ordered the lobster special, came to the table drowned in red sauce, a horrible attempt at a seafood dish and a waste of a perfectly good lobster. My husband ordered the lasagna. It had a mushy meat substance center,...More

Food and service are A+. We (2) opted for the basic sequence of courses (antipasti, primi, secondi, and dolce) and experienced a fantastic dinner with great attention to details and the Chef was on top of every request. An amazing value that may prove to...More

We had a wonderful meal here tonight. This is the best Italian, since Brown Bottle left IC. Everything is homemade, and very delicious. Not badly priced, and pure quality. Thanks

Iowa City has a lot of restaurants. Most of them are targeted at the University of Iowa students. Baroncini is a genuine fine dining venue (but of course open to the students). Baroncini himself is from Italy, trained there and it really shows. We have...More

I have had dinner at Baroncini twice - once with my daughter; then with my granddaughter. The food was exceptional; the atmosphere and service were elegant. A wonderful place for a special occasion, a quiet conversation or both.

This very small bistro serves us Italian dishes that take you right back to Italy. They do an excellent job replicating the tastes and nuances of the Chef's native country. Not a huge menu, but always something for everyone and specials and features as ingredients...More

The owner seems really kind and helpful so I would guess that they could, but (like the others said) call way ahead! I call ahead during the week even for just one table on a weekend because they usually fill up.
