Such a great, quiet experience. The atmosphere is pleasant. We ordered the warm bread for a simple appetizer. Perfect. Our Caesar salad and filet mignon were a great split for the two of us

I needed a place for dinner on a Sunday evening and found they were open; spacing was excellent so I felt quite safe inside. Nice waitstaff, great service, and a yummy pasta dish!

We stopped overnight at the Hilton Garden Inn. It was a pleasant surprise to find a Restaurant open. Service was friendly ( not quick) but we were not in a hurry. Warm bread appetizer was ok, herded oil needs more herbs, lol. Waiter brought warm...butter, yummy! Steaks were AMAXING, cooked perfectly, we cut them with our forks!More

The Vue has extraordinary views of Iowa City and really unique spaces to dine. We chose to go out for our anniversary after three months of dealing with the pandemic. Our experience was exceptional! The food was delicious and healthy(we had fish), and we had...excellent service. We felt comfortable with the social distancing etiquette. We will certainly return for a special evening out.More

The food was surprisingly good. Nice atmosphere and a great view. Don’t be afraid because it is at a hotel
Thank you for the four star review! We take pride in our business with Hilton Garden Inn and hope every experience is the highest of quality.
This resembled a sports bar more than a restaurant. It is possible that if it was possible to eat outside, it would be better. They have a happy hour from 3-6PM, which is good. The menu selection is OK.
Hi SrgnFsh, Thank you for taking the time to leave our restaurant a review. Typically, during the warm months we serve food on the patio; however outdoor service is always weather dependent. Hopefully you can join us for dinner again when the weather is nicer!
Ate with a group of 8 this past Saturday. Overall enjoyable experience. Good bar. Good lively atmosphere. Food was good - I had salmon and others had steak. All were happy. Service was good. No complaints - all good!
Hi Andyfreeman4, Thank you for the four-star review! We are glad you enjoyed your experience. Please let us know what we can improve in order to make it a five-star review!
My daughter recommended this place so we stopped in for a drink and some appetizers. The waiter gave us the menus and said a server would be out on the rooftop to service us. 15 minutes later, nobody had showed. So I ordered from the...bar. I ordered a cocktail for my wife and I ordered the beer flight which came with a pretzel with cheese and mustard for me. The bartender apologized for nobody showing up. The bartender then brought out our drinks and didn't bother to tell me which beer was which in the flight. Later a waiter served us the pretzel and didn't know anything about the flight and had to ask the bartender which beer was which. The waiter never stopped back to the table to check on us. I was going to order another drink but decided it was time to leave so we had to go up to the bar to close out our ticket. I will not be back!More

We had reservations for 8 of us and we were greeted and seated right away. The restaurant, indeed has a panoramic view all around ( although the bar side is obscured by 5 larges televisions. There are 2 more televisions in the restaurant. We came...for the view and the food not for the local football games. The back-ground music was too loud (our opinion) and was turned down twice, the manager let us know that if the Iowa football came back on (delayed due to storms) the the sound on all the TV would be turned on. We were forturnate, the football game did not restart while we were eatin. Servive was great, Jamel was our assigned wait person and managed to bring all 8 orders to every one at the same time. (thanks to your kitchen staff too ). I had Iowa NY cut and it was prepared as I ordered, the cut was very large and only had one side of fat. Potatoes was tasty with a bit of cheddar, the hollandaise sauce was not warm enough to my taste, although it was not a big deal. I had to order a side of bread ( extra), came as a crispy baguette sliced very thin. I ate half of the creme brulee, it was just too much for me. All the other guests could not finish their meals, so Jamel helped us with "to go" boxes. The dessert list is limited to 3 choices. Nothing is "free" ( except the water) and there is no balsamic vinegar available, Over all, it was a pleasant evening and because I chose to sit with my back to the 5 TV, I was able to appreciate the upcoming storm and the sunset. The silverware is of good quality and the black linen napkin is a nice touch if you are wearing dark clothes * no lint*. The women's restroom was clean and nearby. The decor , especially the printed cloth chairs should be upgraded. My opinion, of course. Street parking is available and easy to find.More
Thank you for the kind words and review! We will take all comments into consideration to continue to improve our restaurant. Hope to see you again soon- and make it a full 5 star review!
Vue has the most amazing view of beautiful Iowa City. Its worth a visit for the View, but then I am struggling. We actually abandoned our meal in the end :( I went with my husband and daughter, ordered three drinks and only two arrived....Ordered the third drink again when the waitress came to take our food order of 2 crab cakes and 1 brushetta. Only 1 crab cake and the brushetta arrived, still no third drink. So I asked for the third drink again and another crab cake. waited another 10 mins, still no drink or crab cake so this time we asked for the manager. The Manager apologised and said he would sort it. The remaining drink arrived, the two original started were finished, but still no sign of the third starter. Asked for the manager again and he apologised again and asked us if we still wanted the third starter as it would be a while! nothing like trying to prioritise an issue. It was a Monday evening and so not busy. I suggested we call it quits, as this was actually quite hard work and give the manager his due he didn't charge and just apologised. Maybe we were just unlucky, and this is not their usual level of service, but what should have been a special evening, turned into a disappointing one.More
