Every time I go to Iowa city I look forward to going here. It's a very fun place to pick up an organic sandwich made to perfection with sprouts, avocado, tomato. And very reasonably priced!

I like the products and the wine very much. They have some of the best cheeses and wines in Iowa City. But it's expensive.

I have mixed feelings about this place, very high on the one hand, because it's one of the best places to go for organic food, and on the other, it's pretty expensive considering the quality of taste. If you're traveling and want to eat healthy, then by all means this is the place to go for clean food. Pioneer has... More

Every time I am in I was city I stopped to shop at this co-op, as well as eat at the deli. There is a small area to sit yourself inside or outside, and then you can return to shopping after you've eaten their great soups, salads, quiche, deli meats, and other foods. They also offer great Biggs products and... More

Employees are very nice and helpful. I have had problems with bread freshness and cleaness. But, I do love the bread. In grocery, they need to work on a better selection and price compared to new places. If you have a suggestion or problem there is not a person to take care of it.

This place is absolutely wonderful and we love what it represents. The options are numerous for organic and unprocessed foods. The prices may be slightly higher but it is well worth the up-charge knowing what you are getting. We just wish it weren't over an hour away from us. The addition of the Cedar Rapids location will be slightly closer... More

PI was recommended to us by a friend in MN. We actually drove out of our way to stop there on our way home from CO and we were so glad we did! We were looking for organic, fresh and healthy and PI did not disappoint. I had the Papagayo, a vegetarian sandwich on PI sourdough bread. The sandwich was... More

Went to New Pi on a Sunday Morning. Two of us and one got a gluten free breakfast sandwich and one got a Croissant breakfast sandwich. Made to order--you fill out a paper marking what items you want on your sandwich. Then they make it right there while you wait. Have 2 nice areas with booths and tables where you... More

Love the Co-op and it is worth becoming a member! Great for organic and they do a wonderful job promoting local producers. Great cheese and bread and the desserts are very good. So many great things to pick from, but you should try the stuffed meatloaf and Dr. Wahl's Kale Salad. We love the smoothies and the big scones (split... More
