Stopped here en route while traveling across Iowa. Fairly basic but good quality. We had lunch, pork tenderloin was very good and freshly made. Not much on atmosphere as its a large, open room. Dinners feature the option to grill-your-own steak.

You get to pick and grill your own steak. We stopped to eat after dropping our Daughter at Grinnell College. We were tired and hungry and I'm so glad we stopped at the Grinnell Steakhouse. Our steaks were amazing and it was fun grilling the steaks. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff was amazing. It was a great experience... More

The steaks were good. Other the that, this place was over priced and chaotic. Flys, and a gaggle of macho type farm boys feeling all pumped up while Grilling their meat, and looking silly while burning their "Texas toast". Amusing theatre. Won't go back.

Interesting venue. Pick out the steak you want, then grill it the way you want. Hubby had a ham steak that was big enough for 3. Delish!

I returned again of course after the great appetizers. First time I had grilled on such a nice set up. Waitress explained in detail how to do the steak; which I chose myself from the case, a rib eye. They have a special house sauce to use which I did and it was yummy. I knew to let the steak... More

Good food, big place, pretty noisy. You could cook your own steaks, if you wanted to! I just got the salad bar and had a few bites of my husband's steak sandwich, which was very thin steak. Seemed to be quite busy and is close to the freeway, so good access if you are traveling. I was not that impressed... More

The steak dinners were over priced. They also charge $3.00 per steak to have the chef cook it for you. Our steaks were not prepared as requested and were not very good. We were very disappointed in the food as well as the service. I would not recommend this place.

Love the salad bar - steaks are good and you can grill or sit back and let them. If you get a bad steak it's your fault as you pick the one you want. Price is average

Have been there a couple of times thinking of it as being very pricey and of average taste of food. This time we just had sandwiches (burgers) and had to pay extra for anything you wanted on it from mayo to pickles to onions, cheese, etc. Waitress was not very good. Had coffee and had to keep on waiting for... More

Grill your own steaks or have the chef grill them for you! This family friendly restaurant features prime cuts of beef along with a well supplied salad bar. In addition, they have a wide variety of delectable desserts :-)
