It is a lovely spot to sit, beside the Mississippi river. The food was ok. The fried fish was very heavy fried, so you couldn't really taste the fish. Our waitress was friendly, but made a lot of little error with our order and bill.

I selected Catfish Charlies based on reviews and it's location. I couldn't have been more please. Our group of 39 were seated in a separate room with plenty of space. The wait staff was very attentive to our needs and we also met Charlie. Service was very prompt and we had a great meal. Our group highly recommended the NY... More

We stayed in the marina during a boat trip from the Quad Cities to Wisconsin and we were all very pleased with our dinners. I was in a group of 7 and we ate there both Wednesday and Thursday night. We had a variety of meals, catfish, jumbalaya, salmon and burgers. Also several appetizers: onion rings, jamacian jerk nachos, potato... More

If visiting the 3 state area, this the place for good food, situated in picturesque Dubuque Iowa. I recommend the ribs, and always a good idea to ask for their specials.

Don't let the full parking lot detour you! We pulled up on a Saturday evening around 6pm to a full parking lot and assumed there would be a long wait but were pleasantly surprised to walk in and be seated immediately. This restaurant backs up to a boat landing/piers which must account for some of the cars in the parking... More

Dined on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Was crowded but got a scenic table on the deck very quickly. Waiter was fast and courteous. And the catfish was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. My first visit here, but hopefully not my last.

We were in Dubuque last week and decided to have dinner here. The Clam Chowder was good and my husband liked the double catfish dinner. I made the mistake of ordering the twin lobster tails. They had no taste and were over cooked and small. I'd say they were the 3 oz, size, I was very disappointed. Cheese potato was... More

A good restaurant but nothing outstanding. The service was very good, the ambiance was fine, the food was good but nothing was particularly outstanding. Recommended for anyone who is in the area but not worthy of a special trip.

I was driving solo cross-country to my internship in Arizona, I had already driven from Waukesha,WI and so it was about noon/1ish and I was getting hungry. Pulled over on the side of the road to have google pull this up for me. I walked in, got a seat on the patio. Very cool scenery to look at with trains... More

Beautiful night in the deck! However, service was horrible. Obvious to everyone dining as we all got apologies and excuses. "No ice", "bartender has a crap load of orders to fill", "I have to train someone and I can't find him"... Very unprofessional. Asked for water with our food while we waited for drinks. Nothing like hot Cajun and nothing... More
