The food here is always on point and great. Good selection of wine and drinks with a very clean modern feel. Friendly staff.. a must hit spot in east village

By far one of the best restaurants in Des Moines. I love coming here for lunch. It never disappoints. The staff is very friendly, it's clean with a trendy decor, and the food is excellent. I recommend the cracked pepper pasta. The bread on the side is also delicious!

Great evening out with a friend. Took advantage of the four course dinner. Caesar salad, eggplant second plate and scallops first rate. The reason for the Four star is a mediocre dessert. Would definitely recommend though!

The gnocchi is the best I have ever had! Lucia is one of our favorite restaurant. We like going with a group of friends or just the two of us. Wonderful!

We celebrated our daughter's 25th birthday at Lucca, a long-time family favorite. The pluses: the space is still cool, the staff is friendly, the samosas were fabulous, and the gnocchi is still the best in the world. The minuses: our table near the open kitchen was so unbearably hot that we couldn't wait to leave, the service was very so-so,... More

A group of 14 of us had reservations for dinner, and some of us were there for the first time, including me. Very disappointed that a Bourbon Manhattan was thinned/cut with something like water.. A Manhattan is Simple Syrup, Orange slice, Cherry, Bitters and Bourbon - nothing else to thin out this drink and it should taste like Bourbon, but... More

The menu at Lucca in the evenings is prix fixe. You get four choices for each of three courses for $40 per person. I had the olives and cheese appetizer, the risotto with sausage, then ribeye with mashed cauliflower. The meal was excellent. We had a nice glass of wine to accompany the meal, but no room for dessert (this... More

Until you experience it right you don't realize what you had been missing. Lucca's service is impecable and friendly. What you expect from a higher end eatery. What distinguishes Lucca, which operates with a fixed price (40$) three course menu, is the quality and prep of the dishes, and that they are served piping hot out of the open concept... More

Lucca is my go-to restaurant for date night. Minimalist, cozy atmosphere. I've never had a bad meal. Whatever risotto they're serving that night, I'm having. The service is top notch. Come here when you want to feel like a fancy pants and you won't be disappointed.

We had a birthday gathering last evening at Lucca, the restaurant was outstanding. The food was terrific, the server we worked with was pleasant and well versed on the menu. The price is just a bit high...Just a bit though. The corkage fee reasonable. It has been years since we dined at Lucca, we will not wait as long the... More
