to have a great, traditional New York pizza, you need to have a coal-fired brick oven. other ovens can’t produce the extreme heat (850°) & impart the crust with the right amount of crispiness & smokiness that a coal brick oven can. we use fresh mozzarella imported from New York’s little Italy, imported Italian tomatoes in our sauce, & specialty flour to produce a pizza that has a smoky thin crust & the richest robust flavors. for an authentic New York style, charred-crust pizza, ask for your pizza to be cooked “well-done”.
All centro pizzas are made with olive oil & garlic

We stopped in for a quick bite on a Friday night with no reservation. That wasn’t a problem since there was plenty of seating in the bar with the same menu which worked great for us. My husband and I shared a pizza and a...More
I went here on my last night in town. It was walkable to my hotel, or I could have taken a shuttle. The food was so delicious. Service was excellent. It’s a bit on pricey side, but the atmosphere and food was well worth it.
Excellent service. Group of seven friends having lunch before going to the Temple Theater. Several of us came early and met at the bar and were very happy that they let us be seated early. Everyone said their food was good — salmon was delicious....More
Husband called in and made reservations. Walked in and were seated immediately. Upbeat atmosphere with calming low lighting. Kind server. Most incredible Italian I’ve ever had. Highly recommend the chicken saltimbocca.
Whether going to Centro for Happy Hour, Monday Pizza & Peronis or a leisurely meal — the food is always delicious! Pizza, pasta, appetizers, martinis, local beer, soup & salad — you name it and I guarantee you’ll like what you order!
Was very impressed with the bar menu - enjoyed one of the best Caesar salads I’ve eaten. Perfect mix of ingredients and sauce; add the anchovies! The grilled salmon entree was a full meal, super delicious and well complemented by a double hopped IPA.
Stopped in on business trip. Loud restaurant, but not in a bad way. More of just chatty people enjoying dinner.
Nice bread and olive oil on the table. Had a Centro salad and the special gnocchi (mushroom and pesto). Small serving but was delicious.

That is a good point. Parking is an important issue once you arrive. However, when a restaurant is in a area of downtown where it is mostly street parking, or valet at certain places, it is an afterthought and not a concern of the overall review of the restaurant. It would be helpful for the restaurants to add parking information to their websites & TripAdvisor listings.
