We had dinner there last night, I ordered General Tao's Chicken and my husband ordered Chicken Lo Mein. I couldn't eat all of mine as they give you a lot of food. Rick ate all his as he didn't eat a lot of rice. The...egg drop soup I had was wonderful and he had the hot soup which he really liked. The waitress was fun and very attentive. The prices are great for the 2 of us wasn't even $25.More

We ordered delivery tonight which was awesome. I had the scallops and snow peas, egg drop soup and fortune cookie. My daughter ordered the sweet and sour chicken with egg rolls. We also ordered sugar biscuits. Everything arrived in a timely manner and was delicious....We will definitely have enough for another meal (or two) but we really enjoyed this meal. I have not ordered delivery from this restaurant in 12 years. They did an amazing job.More

Riding home from Rolling Thunder. Because of the rain we pulled into a hotel and called for delivery. Delivery arrived in the time they stated. I had sweet and sour chicken and my wife beef with veggies. There was great plenty and the food was...delicious. Travel safe...More

The service was great, the food was hot, and the price was average however some of the food was just a little bland. The pot stickers were delicious though!

I honestly don't know where to start. We ordered delivery from Dragon House East for the first time tonight, thinking we should try something other than Cheng's Garden, which we normally get, and which is just barely alright, and definitely not anywhere near fantastic (which...is to say, our standards for Chinese food delivery are not high). But this? This was beyond inedible. We ordered chicken satay, crab rangoon, and Mu Shu chicken (which came with egg drop soup and rice). The chicken satay was dry, chewy, and lacked any flavor beyond the salt and the lettuce leaf it laid on. The Mu Shu wraps immediately turned hard upon coming into contact with, you know, air. The dipping sauce slid jelly-like down the side of the container. I picked at the crab rangoon, which hey, is hard to mess up, but the sauce? It was pink and...not good. The egg drop soup was an alarming consistency. The rice left a very bizarre aftertaste. And the clincher, which told us that we were definitely not crazy for thinking this entire order was an inedible mess? The fortune cookies. THE FORTUNE COOKIES WERE STALE. I have never, in my entire life, been able to bend a fortune cookie until it was completely open. It was at this point we threw everything in the trash. This was the first time we actually contemplated calling a restaurant and demanding our money back. Including the tip and delivery fees, we wasted $28.75, and have nothing to show for it other than empty stomachs. Maybe our anger is supposed to sustain us in place of the food. All I can say is that I am beyond disturbed. Normally I would give any restaurant a second chance--everyone has off days, right? But this is beyond anything I have ever experienced. I could only recommend this restaurant to someone on a diet with money to waste.More

We went to the Dragon House for our Anniversary and the food was wonderful! I service was great and the atmosphere is calming. Our food was hot and was served so well not rushing us through our meal. I would recommend this place to everyone!

This place is on east Euclid just East of the 235 freeway. The food had a rancid taste - -as if the cut meat was several days old. The sweet/sour sauce was poor too. The small egg rolls are OK. Service is rather unfriendly. But...prices are low.More

Not quite sure where the negative reviews come from -- possibly a few west suburban Des Moines people or their friends who think they have much better dining options (not). My experience here is limited to takeout for an early dinner. The food I ordered...was all properly seasoned and well cooked -- without being too salty or filled with MSG (a real problem in many Chinese places, even nowadays). The pot stickers had been just perfectly cooked, probably from frozen (they almost always are, regardless of how much you pay or the restaurant's claims). I can see how some people might find the staff here a tad surly. This isn't a place where I necessarily would want to dine in, even though the dining room itself is pleasant -- rather more Thai or Vietnamese in theme than Chinese, though.More

Nothing special, very bland and basic Chinese food. Ask them to make food spicy if you need some favor. Portions are big. They add delivery charges. I would not order again

We've eaten a lot of take-out and dine-in Asian cuisine, and we have NEVER in our 30+ years of all different restaurants in all different locations had this poor experience with food. We came into town after a long drive and just wanted a good...delivery to our hotel room. We paid a $2 delivery charge + tipped the delivery person along with the bill that came to $23 for Garlic Chicken, Family Style Bean Curd, Wonton & Hot/Sour Soup, and 2 egg rolls. None of it was hot, none of it was edible. Bland!! (even the dipping sauce had no flavor and was watered down). This was the absolute worst we have EVER had...don't waste your money! The Garlic Chicken had so much salt, that it was impossible to eat ~ maybe they used Chicken with Garlic Salt instead of Garlic Sauce? This gets a NEGATIVE 5 rating!More

We ate here, and enjoyed the food. The interior is outdated, but it is still your typical restaurant that serves good chinese food. There is also beer to drink to wash your food down with, or soft drink too. We will go back in the...future.More

We have become frequent diners at Dragon House East both through take out and dine in. Our Dine In experience is heighten by Andrew, a super friendly guy, who serves as our server and cashier and ALWAYS makes us feel welcome. You can also find...him rushing to take telephone orders and wait on customers who come in to pick up orders. You name it, he's the man. Our food is always hot, plentiful and prepared just the way we ask for it. The servings are frequently enough to fill us while dining in and to take home for lunch the next day, making the trip to Dragon House East twice as nice. We love Hot and Sour Soup and the chef (more than just a cook) at Dragon knows just how to do it right. The egg roll appetizer and crab rangoons are crispy and steaming hot. The plum sauce for dipping them is so good I would love to eat it with a spoon. Don't let the sparse amount of people dining in fool you (most Chinese restaurants do 60 to 70 % of their business in take out/carry out trade), Just one dining experience at Dragon House East may well make you a regular if you live in the area.More

We went early on a Sunday afternoon. We were the only ones there, although another customer came in to pick up an order. The service was prompt and pleasant. The food was excellent. Kung Bao Shrimp, General Taos Chicken, Beef & Broccoli and Chicken Lo...Mein. They have their lunch specials 7 days a week, so it was a very reasonable meal. The specials come with an spring roll and choice of soup. We will go back.More

This restaurant was reccomended by the Hotel I'm staying at... I called in my order and it was delivered promptly, which was good because I was pretty hungry! I ordered the Combination Lo Mein which came with soup and an Egg Roll, I added some...fried Pot Stickers and a few cans of Pop... The food was excellent, nice and hot still, the Lo Mein was a little salty but still good. I would order from here again!More
