Great food, french cuisine mostly. Their frites are great and I love the jumbo shrimp happy hour special. Along with their fun drinks. Nice for a family meal, romantic dinner or after work happy hour. Downtown Des Moines location helps as well :)

I always go to the same place everytime I'm in Des Moines: Centro. This was suggested to me as a french bistro. I wasn't impressed. Overseasoned, overly complex dishes. I wouldn't say it was bad, but it was pretty average. Maybe I hit them on a bad night, but I won't be back.

Good menu, had the lobster mac, fair amount of small lobster pieces, tasty sauce. A high energy restaurant even if not sitting near the bar. Bring in your own wine and no corkage fee. Friendly and helpful staff. French restaurant but plenty of other choices.

Jango is a wonderful place to dine. Each entry is unique and a delight. It is housed in the beautiful old hotel Fort Des Moines. The service was great. Definitely will be back.

I have Celiac and they have great options to accommodate. Their cheese plate is tremendous and I love their peppercorn New York strip. Just tremendous and has never disappointed. I also order their frites which are done in duck fat in a separate pan to avoid cross contamination. They are amazing and you want to eat them prior to getting... More

Great selection of French and French inspired dishes, as well as some more typical American food. It's a classy joint with reasonable prices. Staff was very friendly and went the extra mile to ensure I was satisfied.

Delicious food and great wait staff. I ate here during a business trip, sat at the bar, which along with the regular tables, was very busy for a Weds night. I ordered the small poutine (which was huge for one person), and I really enjoyed it. I had the peppercorn crusted New York strip and would definitely get it again.... More

Lovely place.....Sunday so we got by without a reservation. Professional staff, excellent service. Quiet, elegant ambiance conducive to easy conversation. Wine list has something for everyone and several offerings by the glass. Interesting menu, steak is prime...fresh, well prepared choices. I'm visiting from Maryland, but Django is now on my short list of Des Moines favorites.

Had a really nice birthday dinner with with family at Django’s. One of the kids wanted to try the ratatouille appetizer and everyone agreed it was great, but still I prefer the poutine. The seared sea scallops were tender and nicely sautéed. The winner for the evening was the Coq au Vin -- it looked beautiful and, from all reports,... More

Expensive restaurant for the quality of food. The food is bland and nothing special, not worth the cost. The service was okay.
