Wonderful selection of beer and wine compliment the fantastic food they serve. Both the wait staff and the bar staff are very knowledgeable in the food and are happy to answer any questions you have.

Enjoyed a special anniversary dinner there...our first time ever at Rubaiyat but it won't be our last! Pros: The fresh BREAD is to die for! Enjoy with olive oil. The lettuce wedge salad, made with house-made blue cheese dressing (even if you don't love blue cheese I think you'll love this dressing). The amazing quality of the main dishes, made... More

My wife and I were visiting Deborah on Friday evening to pick up our daughter from a camp at Luther College the next day. Se looked at the reviews online and in the windows up and down main street and decided upon Rubaiyat. They were fairly full but had room at their community table and we were so glad they... More

Our group of gals really enjoyed capping off our day of shopping and kayaking in NE Iowa at this unique establishment. Menu is seasonally based with locally grown food, choice ranged from Bison burgers to fish to grass feed angus steak. The meal starts with wonderfully hot, fresh baked bread. The salad options ranged from Kale ceasar salad, to a... More

We kicked off a 3-day weekend in Decorah with dinner at Rubaiyat. It was a delight. First-class service and delicious food in a charming setting, a downtown storefront complete with original tin ceiling. I had locally-produced pork and my husband had locally-raised bison. Both were tender and delicious. From shared appetizer to dessert, the food was outstanding. They also have... More

We stop here every time we visit Decorah. They always have fresh, seasonal, perfectly prepared cuisine, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Sunday brunch is a favorite before we hit the road. Also, the beer and wine selection is incredible! Make a reservation they fill up fast!

Stopped in on Sunday for brunch! Amazing build your own bloody's! A large variety of olives. I had eggs Benedict with salmon and it was excellent. Very good service too! Will go back again and bring hubby along. Great assortment of beer for him.

We had appetizers and beer here on a Thursday evening in the bar area. Great beer choices with lots of tap beer, including several craft beers and local choices. The bartender, who teaches voice at Luther College (sorry, we should have remembered your name!), went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and help us decide on good menu... More

At Rubaiyat, we feature a seasonal American menu, emphasizing straight - forward, approachable cuisine that both looks and tastes clean and composed. This means simply but skillfully prepared ingredient - driven dishes that reveal our commitment to using the highest quality products, in season, and local when available. The inspiration behind Rubaiyat's menu reflect Chef Andy's classic and diverse culinary influences. Yet he's consistently led back to creating food that is distinctly contemporary, and as our name would have it, dishes that are "food for thought". As a result, Rubaiyat's refined seasonal American dishes combine four of the qualities that we value most: integrity, style, restraint, and playfulness. That is found in our personal mission to shape the dining experience around culinary delights from beginning to end. We insist on honoring the smallest details underlying the very rhythm of the restaurant, including our service. Come find out for yourself just why our staff is second to none. Cheers!!
