An exceedingly pretentious bar hoping to be taken as trendy and cutting edge. When boiled down it's a bar. It's a hotel lounge. It's just a bar in a Holiday Inn no less.

Came here on a Friday night for a late dinner after traveling all day. We were staying at the hotel so it was nice to have this restaurant on site. We were not disappointed. Had the flat bread with tomatoes, cheese, and balsamic vinegar and...it was tasty. Shared the carrot cake and it was decadent. The iced tea was great as well. Great place!More

The J Bar is an amazing experience! From the awesome staff throughout the hotel and restaurant/bar to the beautifully maintained property, to the quality of the food and drink. Rooms at the hotel are well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The staff are always friendly, and...super helpful. The restaurant provides delicious food at reasonable prices. And then, there's the bar. Austin and Pauline consistently serve incredible cocktails, are super-friendly, and very helpful. From old standards, to drink menu regulars, to on-the-spot inventions they've got you covered. Not sure what you want? No problem, they are more than happy to help guide you through a decision based on your preferences. It is fun to watch them create completely new drinks on-the-spot. The bar also has an excellent selection of local beers and standard brews, if cocktails aren't your thing. Attractive restaurant. We had a small family reunion of eight people and found the food and service to both be very good.

Nice crowd, however seated right away. Great service, suggestions and timing. Started with yummy steak egg rolls and Mac and cheese. Had the 50-50 burger, half bacon half beef on brioche with aioli, side of sea salt french fries. Wine by the bottle selection was...very nice.More

I have severe food allergies, and the friendly staff immediately laid out my options and helped me find something delicious. I had the best mac and cheese of my life, with the highest quality ingredients and made fresh in-house. I would highly recommend it to...anyone. The prices are reasonable too!More

Etta did a great job with out party of 6 this evening. She was patient with those in the group who couldn't decide and those who changed their mind. Salads were good, flat bread was good. Seafood ravioli was very good. Many mac and cheese...options were OK, but nothing special. We are in Davenport with our 12 year old son visiting family. The J Bar is attached to a Holiday Inn, and both facilities are beautiful. Looking for an 8 pm meal, we headed here not sure about bringing our son and 9 year old...niece. No concerns here! While the area near the bar was lively with 20 somethings, there are more removed tables for eating (and drinking) that are suited for conversation. The menu is not big, but has a varied selection from salads to “hand food” to burgers to steaks. My top sirloin Gorgonzola was delicious and all I could eat. There is a kids menu and broad selection of craft beers and drink mixes. Decorating is fantastic. A very comfortable place for dinner. We loved it!!More

J Bar provides a wonderful fusion menu with delectable paired cocktails. Raquel was wonderful, intuitive, and attentive. Definitely request her for a pleasurable dining experience!!
