Loved the staff and we have all become good friends. It is a unique restaurant that is always a different experience for us when going for breakfast or brunch. My spouse is out of town so tomorrow will be my day to have a laid...back breakfast and a lot of repartee with everyone at The Diner - Tara, Tyler, Sarah, Katy and other staff members. It is as close to going home again as will ever happen since my parents have passed. On the subject of food and I am a foodie, the items on the menu are very palatable to me. In other words, it is all good, which makes it difficult for me to decide what will be my selection for breakfast tomorrow. We also make suggestions to them about ways to change the menu that evolve from restaurants in other states that we have encountered on our travels and they listen and the menu evolves!More

The Diner was an amazing place to eat breakfast and brunch. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. The decor is rather kitsch, which I adored. The Bloody Mary skillet was soooo good. Don't sleep on the cocktails, either!

We go for breakfast or lunch once a week and all the meals are top of the morning. Always pleased to arrive and interact with the servers before being seated, after being seated and after finishing since the servers and owner make our time in...the restaurant very pleasurable. My favorite breakfast is Meat Eater’s Biscuits & Gravy and I have enough leftover to make me another breakfast at home on the weekend. So I eat twice a week at the diner, except the servers are not around on the weekend to engage me in conversation. They have some vegan selections on the menu so something for everybody. Last but not least, the decor and raw energy that exists makes it a delightful experience!More

What a treat!! Local friends took us there & GREAT idea. One a several Diners that "sorta" resemble Golden Girls casual, kitchen table conversation. Hannah was our several & a truly delightful rep for The Diner. Vibe is casual, mismatched chairs, tables, serving pieces and...it all worked!! Music eclectic and could have been a little louder. Location is upstairs with indoor & outdoor seating - elevator available. Great experience & wish them well!!!!!!! But remember, ask for Hannah!!! PS to Hannah - don't forget to apply for college!More

Loved our breakfast here. Super friendly service! I got the blue plate special and everything was hot and fresh. Bacon was nice and crispy, eggs were great, but the French toast was soooo good! The vibes are chill. Love it! Just get there early.

A friend took us here for brunch. It is such a cute place. I love the style of the place. Had a "Betty white" for a drink. Loved it. We had cheese curds, kids Wolfed them down. I had a meat skillet delish! There were...donuts and cinnamon rolls! Nova was a fantastic waitress! *parking was tough during the farmers market.More

Staff was very welcoming and inviting. Engaged with our child and had great knowledge of the menu. Portions were large and tasted amazing, mimosas were delicious (on sale on Tuesday’s), and very affordable. We had the southwest skillet, chocolate chip pancake, and kitchen sink (meatloaf)...meals. Great for brunch or lunch!More

We met friends for our first Covid-19 restaurant outing since January. The Diner had visible displays that they were following safety precautions. These included sanitizer available on a table near the entry/exit and within the dining area, fewer tables with greater distances between (both inside...and on the deck), signage reminding to social distance and that menus were cleaned between uses, and all staff we saw were wearing masks appropriately. The women's restroom was clean with soap available. Their menu offered fewer options, however the selection was still broad enough for us four diners. Highly recommend you patronize this unique, welcoming establishment.More

We were cheerfully greeted as we came in and promptly seated. A very rustic diner located in The Freighthouse on River Drive. It's upstairs, but there is a small elevator. Nice menu, breakfast is served all day with something for everyone. Lunch was our goal...and be were both very satisfied. My wife had the "Meatloaf Sammie" with green beans. The very generous slice of meatloaf is between two pieces of texas toast. The meatloaf typically is covered with an aioli, but my requested her sammie without. Instead they topped it with a bourbon ketchup and pieces of onion ring. The green beans were fresh and well prepared. In my quest to find that one grilled tenderloin, I ordered the "Granny billie's Tenderloin". The menu indicates that the tenderloin is marinated, the server/owner assured us that it was not marinated. The piece of tenderloin was, like the meatloaf, a very generous portion. This is not a tenderized piece of meat, it appeared to be cut from the loin and then grilled. The sandwich was cooked nearly to perfection, the meat was moist and flavorful. All Sammies and Mains come with a choice of one side, with seven items to choose from. Highly recommend. We're going to have to try breakfast. Dinner is available on Fridays (if there is no special event) and will be offered regularly in the Summer.More

I was very impressed with the service, the food and the atmosphere of this diner. The miss matched chairs, placemats and general vibe was a hit from the beginning. The food arrived within 15 minutes and was just as I was hoping for. Reuben sandwich...with just the right amount of kraut and dressing, very generous on the corned beef. Meatloaf Sammie so huge it could not be finshed. I watched my 14 year old finicky eater demolish the chicken and waffle plate. I am looking forward to bottomlless Mimosa Sunday, or just breakfast with family and friends come this spring on the patio with a view of the Great Mississippi River.More

We were traveling cross country and stopped at this restaurant for lunch. We chose a meatloaf plate and chicken salad sandwich. It was probably the best food we had on the trip! Generous portions and a real homemade flavor. Our waitress was very nice and...helpful with our orders. The restaurant itself is fun- decorated with , I think ‘50’s decor. We would definitely come back. Prices are reasonable and views of the river!More

The tenderloin breaded was so large it could make two sandwiches. It was very chewy. The veggie omelet was soaked in so much butter I couldn’t eat it. Not too impressed with this restaurant. Probably won’t ever return.
