We tried this place a couple of times, but never got anything better than you can make at home. The roast beef gravy is out of a powder with starch to thicken it - bleh. The cooking seems phoned in, and I don't understand why...it is so popular but it is just not great. The location may be why it is popular as most of the customers are locals and it gets packed for breakfast sometimes. I guess if I go out to eat, I want it to be better than I can do, and it isn't.More

Diner food but good. Great service. Because of highway closure around Omaha, we were off the beaten path. Henry’s was a welcome place to eat having some hearty comfort food. Nothin’s Finer!!

We stopped for lunch after touring Missouri Valley, where I grew up, and was VERY impressed by the menu and quality of food. The hot roast beef sandwich was excellent. If driving by the diner on the old Lincoln Highway, don’t hesitate to stop. You...won’t be disappointed.More

We live in Lincoln Ne. and are hooked on the dinner. My husband and I are both big eaters. In this case that means we eat one large meal a day usually during afternoon hours. We went to Henry’s for lunch. After carefully examining the...menu I decided on the blue burger. I am 69 years old and had the BEST burger I’ve ever had. Two days later we did a rerun today. He had the blue burger along with me. We love this tasty burger along with the BEST onion rings we’ve ever had!!! Tomorrow we are going to go to have the prime rib. I can’t wait. We may have to buy a home in Crescent City. LOL LOL !!!Give this place a try. We are originally from a Chicago suburb and used to excellent food but we found a little Chicago in Crescent IOWA. Thank you Trip Advisor!!!More

Had dinner with friends last weekend. Large menu and portions. Ordered steaks and chicken. Everything was good, special mention for the outstanding onion rings. The steamed veggies were previously frozen. Something I pay attention to since I prefer steaming from fresh rather than frozen. Loads...of side selections to choose from. Something for everyone!More

Visited for the first time with another couple. Took the back way through Council Bluffs to get there since the main roads from Omaha were closed due to flooding. The extra travel time to get to the restaurant was well worth it. When we arrived,...we were immediately seated, though it was a while before a waitress finally came to our table. She said she was so busy serving food to other customers that she did not see us come in. After she started to wait on us, the service was very fast. We ordered mixed drinks to start things off. That was a big disappointment. The drinks came in small glasses, and you could barely taste any alcohol--very, very weak! For an appetizer, we ordered fried onion rings, and they were very tasty. The order was very large, and the batter did not fall off the onion as what happens with other orders we have had. It's a good thing we did not order our customary two appetizers or else we would not have room for the rest of the dinner. We all had house salads, which were very good--cold and crispy. Our entrees were plentiful and very delicious. The only negative was that I ordered a steak medium rare and it came out very rare. Needless to say, we did not have any room for dessert.More

Friendly, down home type of place. Reasonable prices. I always get their tenderloins, so I can't really comment on anything else on the menu.

I got an order of prime rib to go. The order process was fast and easy, but oh man the prime rib, even having taken it home, was so delicious. Cooked perfect. I can't imagine how much better that would have been before the drive....4 stars because it was a little pricey, but if you want a really good prime rib, check it out.More

Not a fancy place but a great place to eat with a down home feel and flavor and the portions are big

Came here for dinner on the recommendation of close friends & coworker. They were both correct, the food was so delicious & tasted like home cooked food, but better. Prime rib was $18.00 and had good flavor. I had the smothered grilled chicken meal for...$13.00. Was fantastic and very filling. Big sized portions for the money. We will be back for sure.More
