Large venue, 90% dark and unused. At 10PM, three customers. Wife and I both had tacos and a beer, $30. About the tacos, it is best to say nothing. Everything looking patched and broken. It is next door to a terrible hotel and shares a...parking lot with a combination Dairy Queen and thrift store(?!?).More
I ordered the chicken cranberry and walnut salad, based on prior reviews, and it was very good. The server was prompt and personable
Stopped in for a quick bite before turning in for the night. Husband and I ordered the Cranberry, chicken, walnut wrap, with homemade chips. It was delicious! The atmosphere suggests it is a small town gathering place. The people we're friendly and wait staff very...accommodating. We will stop here again when we pass through again.More
ate here on a sunday night just before kitchen closed - we had a couple different burgers, some wings and onion rings and a chicken wrap - roughly around $10/ each - waitress was friendly and took our drink order before we ordered - not...many people in the bar - food arrived fairly quickly and was warm and good - not out of this world but better than most bar food i have had - soda was flat so there was no charge - will come back again to try additional menu itemsMore
Passing thru town, staying at motel next door (just off Exit 5, I-80). A Tuesday night, about a dozen patrons in bar. Ordered hamburger and a beer ($7 hamburger, $4 beer). The hamburger was surprisingly good.
Atmosphere is more of a tavern than a "sports bar" or pub but, the staff was friendly and the food was good. Looks like a fairly popular place with locals.
Food was very good for a local watering hole. Enjoyed the Santa fe salad. Since we weren't "locals" we didn't have the best attention but it wasn't horrible either. Just know going in folks are a tad closed off to visitors.
We went on a Friday as we were staying at the Western Inn next door. My 10 year old had the kids burger with fries and said it was the best burger he'd had. My 12 year old had the general Tao chicken sandwich with...fries and liked it (it was spicy). I had the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. All the good was good. Beer selection was okay. Waitstaff was super friendly. Arcades (golden tee golf) kept son entertained while waiting for food. Lots of tvs in bar area. Wouldn't recommend for a nice night out but if you want good food in a bar atmosphere or are staying at Western Inn I'd highly recommend this placeMore
We were at the motel next door, and tired of being on the road. Very surprised it was busy, and the food was good. The girl that waited on us took a little while but she was busy, it was not an unreasonable wait, she...was friendly, and accommodating. I would be here if I lived in the area.More
This is a nice little bar in Council Bluffs. It must have had a bigger crowd at one time so it felt kind of empty but the staff and locals were all friendly.
Had an informal meeting here recently and while the decor is in need of an update, we had excellent service and the food was great. Typical grill menu with various burgers, chicken sandwiches , and appetizers. If there was more than that I didn't see...it. I did notice a sign board as I exited that had a walleye dinner special on it. The pepper jack burger I had was big and the burger was home made, not frozen. Fries were hot and the right portion. No complaints. Other people in our group had pork tenderloin, bacon cheeseburger, and buffalo chicken sandwich. The server kept our drinks full and was very attentive.More
We were on a poker run and decided to stop at the Spillway for lunch, great choice, we had 18 bikers who ordered wings, burgers, pork tenderloins sandwiches and wraps, everyone stated the food was terrific. Great find and well be back again.
