Great Food

I am from Hawaii where there is an abundance of Chinese restaurants. The prices were cheaper than I expected and the food was great. I surprised to find such a place in Iowa far from its origin. Try the beef rice noodle and the pork dumplings together awesome.

Don’t do fried rice!!!

We got egg foo young, it was pretty good. Crab Rangoon was good. Hot and sour soup was kind of cold, but good flavor. The fried rice was disgusting. The rice was some kind of orange color and the best way to describe the chicken was parts. Really gross!!!! Will not go back. Kind of sickening to look at when it arrived.

"Self Service Dining"

I feel this place, more than any other I have reviewed, needs to be described. I like their description as a "self-service dining" establishment. The place - Covid Era barriers still up, lumber and plexiglass, order through a hole if dining in. Some seating, get your own drink, utensils, they bring out the food on styrene plates and plastic containers. Relatively clean, pretty warm with loud fans running. I was the only eat-in customer. Really seems to be primarily a take-out place. Food - very good. I had moo shu pork, only complaint was the pancakes were frozen and packed in saran wrap, but they thawed quickly once opened. HUGE portion. I'm a big eater and I took 1/2 to go. Service - They were polite, didn't say much but seemed to be very chatty with the locals that were picking up food, probably warm up to the regulars. Value - for the amount of food and quality it was cheap eats. Most entrees under $12. Recommend as a take-out experience.

The crab Rangoon and egg rolls were a lot better than ourentrees.the white rice was nice and fresh. Our chicken was soggy.

Excellent Chinese Take-out in Council Bluffs

Late night dinner to take back to my motel. Had a "small order of garlic pork (enough for 2!) and a quart of an excellent house soup. Really good!

This is your classic local Chinese food place, except the people who work here go above and beyond! They bring your food to the table and and are very polite. Or if you take it home its still always hot and delicious! I love getting the fried dumplings and chicken with broccoli. The sesame chicken is also wonderful! I love this local favorite!

Love this place!

My family loves China Wok! We go there about once a month and get take-out. When you get take-out you get WAY MORE than enough food. We usually have enough for two meals! The food is very good and, even though we only go in there once a month, the staff knows who we are just from what we order...and we don't order the exact same thing every time...they just know our repertoire! Pretty impressive!
