We were greeted with respect and humor. Nice brisket sandwiches. Delicious cherry and peach cobbler. More than fair prices. Enjoyed this local eatery very much. Thank you for greeting, feeding, and treating us with kindness.

Council bluffs is fortunate to have Hog Wild. Just good bbq nothing fancy just good food. Smoked Turkey is second to none. Brisket is awesome wish they brought back burnt ends though. Staff is always friendly and thoughtful. I get take out alot and order is always correct. Priced reasonably we go there regularly.

My favorite BBQ place in Council Bluffs and they quit carrying burnt ends. Severely bummed out. They were the best!

When I got there the restaurant was empty. I ordered the mashed potato's gravy brisket dinner. Service was slow but friendly. The table I sat at was sticky and I went back to the window to ask for a wet towel to clean my table. Again very slow service. The table and chairs are beat up. A short time later more folks came in and received the same services. Not very good. However the dinner when I got it was ok and I feel Im being very generous. At least it was warmed.

I chose the two meat sandwich - ham and hot link. It was very good and I will return to try a different combination. The customer service was excellent!

Good BBQ for Council Bluffs. Very good service and fast. The atmosphere is very country. I would come back and get the brisket. The BBQ sauce was very good.

Great selection, very reasonable prices, sauce is outstanding.
But get there early, they close at 8pm. LOL
Try the watermelon iced tea.

Quality at a BBQ place can be a bit across the board, but I've found that I've never been disappointed at Hog Wild. The smoke and the sauce does't overpower the meat and the sides are all very good. Try the burnt ends. They're supposed to be for a limited time only, but I hope they keep them on the menu permanently. A hearty meal in itself is one of their loaded baked potatoes with meat.

The meat is pretty good here, I'm partial to the brisket, the wife is partial to the turkey.
The sides though seem to uniformly underwhelm.
The flavor and texture for them is just not that impressive, especially for the cost.
Tried the "Burnt Ends" this week, and was really disappointed, as they just seemed to be a quarter pound serving of the brisket.
I get the loaded potatoes for the best value, and for filling out a meal without the sub par sides.
And the close at 8pm, so there is not an option when I am running late from work.
