I visited with my 2nd cousin's wife last week. Very much enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was good. Really liked the all you can eat ribs, and my dining partner's sandwich looked good. I thought the cost was reasonable. I would go back if I'm in the area again.

We were in town to meet up with family from Florida earlier in day. Just sightseeing in the evening and Bid Muddy's caught our attention along the river. View of Mississippi and the beautiful bridge was fabulous; enjoyed watching walkers in the park and boat traffic as we ate. Food was excellent; service could be improved upon, but we would... More

Kids enjoyed their meals. Husband enjoyed his ribs. Ribs were all you can eat. They also have sushi on Wednesday's. I was hesitant, but ordered some anyhow. I got the california and spicy tuna roll. They were decent. Atmosphere was good. Service was good. Nice to google the information for the building. Theres the date 1898 carved into the side.... More

My wife and I were in Burlington for the Snake Alley Art Fair. We stayed at a local B&B just a few blocks from Big Muddy's. I had read previous Trip Advisor reviews of several restaurants in the area the this one didn't get great reviews. However, my wife and I decided to walk down to the river. As we... More

Big Muddys is a favorite of mine in Burlington for a couple reasons. First is the view of the river and second is the history of the building. The food is very good (cream of mushroom soup is killer) and the staff is always nice. Love Big Muddys.9

We've lived in the area for the last 4 years and Burlington is the biggest metropolis in our area, but there aren't a lot of upperscale restaurants to choose from. Big Muddy's is a reliable standby. This is one we would include as a place you might take a date, go for a business lunch, Mother's Day, or to bring... More

Buffet was cold the pans not full. Disappointed. Those who ordered off the menu had better food. Too pricey for average tasting food.

Full menu with a great seafood salad and prime rib sandwich. Favorites for our family. Special happy hours daily throughout the week.

This place can be a little pricey but has some really good food. And only restaurant you can sit by the river and eat. Then take a nice stroll on the riverfront. Staff is friendly.

We made resevations (6) to ensure a table with a river view. Loved the river decor inside...was an old warehouse. Nice to look out at the river! Lots of seating. Food and drinks were reasonably priced. HUGE menu selection....variety. We ordered bacon wrapped maui maui (2 chunks, tasty), coconut shrimp (7..not fan tail, but good), grouper Italiana (good), pork chop,... More

Once seated in the restaurant, your view changes as the seasons change. Winter brings eagles soaring as they search the icy Mississippi for the fresh catch of the day. In the Summer the river becomes alive with casual and commercial traffic. The historic background of this quaint river town is captured in the memorabilia and pictures that adorn the walls. The restaurant has been a landmark for two decades offering casual to formal dining attracting patrons both local and visiting tourist from other countries. We have a casual family friendly environment. Serving lunch and dinner as well as drinks at the bar. We are great for groups! Walk in or make a reservation and when the weather permits, choose to sit in side or out. Dine in, carry out or we will cater! Whatever the occasion - Big Muddy's is the place!!
