Good food and good specials. Open late at night. Lots of choices on menu. They do a good job with breakfast.

Not so easy to locate. It doesn't seem like the magic mountain is a good as it once was. We just weren't that impressed with the food. Loose meat sandwiches? We find those better elsewhere.

We stop at Ross's on the way to the University of Iowa. The old place was located under 1-74 bridge, and was a divey diner with excellent cinnamon rolls, homemade soups and famous "Loose Meat" sandwiches. The new Ross's is a bit hard to see off the road, and it is a simple diner. The soups are delicious and the... More

Local favorite - people love their cinnamon rolls and the magic mountain. Recently had to change the location due to the new construction for the new I-74 bridge - not as convenient of a location. I didn't care for the food; however, my sons did enjoy the large portion and the food.

Loose meat sandwiches with mustard, onions and pickles is the way to order a Ross burger. The Magic Mountains are legendary! On the way out, don't forget to buy a cookie and a cinnamon roll!!!

As many locals know, Ross' is a staple of the community. It was once located at the base of the I74 bridge, and was "famous" for it's magic mountain. While, I was not a fan of the mountain, I did enjoy the diner feel, and the relatively low priced grub. With the new I74 bridge project underway, Ross' has had... More

Back to Ross' again, post BIX 7 Race weekend, for comfort food in comfortable new/old surroundings. Our table of six gave food & service a thumbs-up. Everything from Ross-Burger Baskets & Magic Mountains to a Portabella Mushroom 'Burger' were served hot & delicious. Only complaint .. room temperature was too cold ( (even with sweaters). Suggest they get the HVAC... More

I will always remember Ross' fondly but the new location seems a bit lacking. The food is as tasty as ever and the service is excellent but it's a bit more expensive than I'd like.

Thank Michaela G
