My wife loves Sunny’s fried chicken and this was a good dinner choice for us during the pandemic. We ordered our evening meal and paid for it online, and I drove to pick it up. There is no curbside delivery apparently, so I parked the...car and went inside to pick it up. It was ready at the time I had specified. My wife ordered the chicken, and I opted for their fried shrimp. We both enjoyed our meals from here. They offer fries as a side dish, but those appear to look and taste like the frozen/reheated variety, so not anything to write home about. Still, and all, a very good carry-out dinner choice during the pandemic.More

Stopped going here several months ago. Husband reminded me of this place. I said sure. Normally I drive to Carmel to Popeyes and get my chicken. Ordered 6 legs, 2 piece with biscut, red beans and rice, and fried okra. They told me 20 minutes....Two people after me, ordering twice as much food as I did were in and out in 15 minutes. The teenagers that run the place goof around loudly the entire time. Finally after 35 minutes asked for my food and got it. Biscut was hard, no honey, no dipping sauce for fried okra. Going back to Popeyes. I can drive there, order, and get home in the time it took to get my order at Sunny's.Chicken wasn't even that great.More

I've stopped here for lunch a couple times now. Chicken tenders and traditional fried chicken on the bone pieces were both very good. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Mac and cheese is nice and creamy. Kids will probably love it. The...fries were not so good. Way too much seasoned salt for my taste. Prices are good as well. Were else can you get a drumstick for $1? I will return when in the area and want chicken.More

This is some of the best chicken EVER! I first met them when they were donating additional food to our Food Rescue program and it always smelled so incredible in there. We have since visited several times and the chicken is AWESOME! I love the...spicy ranch dipping sauce. Our kids love the mac and cheese, the green beans and the rolls on the side. My mother in law LOVED the liver and gizzards!More

We were out running errands one late afternoon on a Friday, so we decided to stop in at Sunny’s in Westfield to try their carry-out fried chicken and breaded tenderloin. One thing we learned, is that you don’t want to go near Westfield along State...Road 32 on any late afternoon. The bumper-to-bumper traffic congestion is bad, and you need a little bit of luck just to get out of Sunny’s little parking lot. As for the food, I tried the breaded tenderloin and fries, while my wife, a fried chicken connoisseur, ordered Sunny’s specialty. I liked my tenderloin sandwich, but I was very disappointed with the French fries, which tasted like the frozen variety that they had just warmed up in the microwave. The good rating, however, comes mainly from my wife’s approval of the fried chicken, which she described as even better than Popeye’s, that previously was probably had been her favorite. I am guessing we will return here as soon as she tells me she wants that fried chicken again. One more thing worth mentioning, on this particular day we were not able to pay with our credit card, and, had to scramble to come up with enough currency and change since we normally don’t carry around very much cash.More

Stopped in and tried a few tenders just to see what the place was like. Pretty sparse and basic inside, but primarily carry out. Chicken tenders were great (and quite large), white meat, not greasy, light and tasty breading - rolls good too. Seem to...have good lunch specials. Will return to try more on the menu as they have quite a few options beyond just tends.More

Stopped in with a coupon. Expectations were low but figured good for a quick carry out. Nicely surprised. Manager saw me studying the menu board and offered suggestion and walked me through each item. Had the tenders (huge) with potatoes and green beans. Potatoes and...gravy were okay but not great. Green beans were well seasoned and not overcooked (yeah, I know they were canned but they weren't those overcooked mushy mess that so many places serve). Chicken was the star.Very tender and lightly seasoned. Not greasy at all. Yeast rolls were doused with a honey butter. Only bad spot was when I got home I found they had left out the dipping sauce. Luckily the chicken was good enough it didn't need anything else. Will be back to check out the pulled pork sandwiches and the fish which the manager also recommended.More
