Waited 1 hour for food after ordering. Food was great and we loved the vibe just waited and waited and waited with little notice and when we complained waited said they’d take care of us and they offered once free apple cider that’s it. Didn’t...want anything free but they knew we were frustrated after sitting for an hour. Pancakes were great, loved the ciders, great coffees, corned beef hash was almost all potatoes with little to no corned beef. Will give another chance and hope service is better on next timeMore

We ate here a few nights ago and really enjoyed it. Nice outdoor patio, great service, very good food. Great place to eat!

The place looks nice outside, but at first gave us a weird vibe. Menu was confusing, and not designed well. But after they brought coffee (freshly brewed, very good quality), and after that breakfast, all negative have melted away. Great portion sizes, interesting menu choices,...tasty, fair pricing. Definitely will be backMore

Eating breakfast at Town and Gown is a real treat. The variety is fabulous, the portions large and the ambiance is inviting.

I had lunch with a friend on Halloween and the staff wore simple costumes. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. On her recommendation I had the Reuben. It was good and huge, easily big enough to share. But it was different than what I expect...in a Reuben. The marble rye was only very lightly grilled, the tender corned beef was flavorful ... but cut “with (not across) the grain” and served with home fries ... no pickle. Breakfast is served throughout the day and my friend enjoyed her eggs Benedict. All in all a pleasant, somewhat pricey dining experience.More

After reading several of the other reviews that this place wasn’t so great, we found it very good. We all four had something different ie french toast, eggs Benedict, salmon and a Reuben, and had no complaint. Service was good, no problems getting a second...cup of coffee. Also we didn’t think the menu was odd. A bit pricey, yes, but not outrageous.More

Sitting next door to a McDonalds is this not so modest priced resturant. Maybe it was because it was the day and time. Sunday morning around 10:30. Very unusual menu. Had a omlete that was different but very good. Besides eggs it had very good...corn beef and mushrooms with cheese melted in middle. May have been other items. Not corn beef hash. I think the corn beef on rye would make a good sandwich. Other items looked unusual as far as combinations go. Like i said somewhat pricey $11.95 for the omelet plus $1.95 for coffee. Coffee was also very unusual but good. Could have been hotter. Just the omlete and toast. If you need hash browns or such that's extra. The omlete was plenty for me. Small place on 2 floors with a small parking lot. You could miss it easily. Service was fine and food came quickly.More

I was going to rate this as poor, but the more I thought about it, The only thing positive was the taste of the coffee. After move-in day thought we would go to T&G for brunch based upon the reviews. It wasn’t crowded so I...cannot come up with an excuse over all the issues. Pros We were seated quickly in the garden. The menu sounded interesting. Good coffee (if you only wanted one cup) Cons Service was abysmal. It took forever to get anything (coffee, water, food). Wife ordered the Tex-mex omelet. Must of run out of salsa so they chopped up a bunch of raw tomatoes and stuck them in the omelette. I ordered the corned beef hash. Very little corned beef and lots of “smashed” potatoes. My over medium eggs on top were over easy at best ( whites still gooey and runny). Every once in a while I would get an extremely salty bite of potatoes that tasted as if spilled salt when cooking. I would say the dish was 85-90% potato and 10-15% corned beef, diced very tiny. My wife and I each got 1/2 slice of toast with our meal. Come on, at those prices you can spring for a whole slice. Son got bacon and eggs with a pancake. Apparently the pancake was tasty (did arrive about 10 minutes after rest of food) but scrambled eggs were dry, over-cooked and without even a hint of salt, pepper or any oil or butter that they were cooked in. He said bacon was good. We were finally able to get a second cup of coffee (never had them take my cup away to refill before), but there was no thought of trying to get any more. When I spend $50 on breakfast for three ( no alcohol), I expect decent food and good service. Won’t go again!More

Being new in town, I was keen to try out a brunch place and this was recommended by a friend who used to live in the area. Got here around 1pm on a Sunday (we were a group of 6 with a dog). The waitress...who initially served us seemed a bit frazzled and was slightly curt. We were asked to wait for about 5 minutes before a place outside became available. The outdoor seating is really cute, lots of flowers and has a cozy feel. It definitely gets a little toasty but I'd highly recommend it, especially as I found that when waiting inside, the cooking/greasy smell from the kitchen wafts in and sticks to your hair and clothes. The guy who served us was very polite and friendly. They serve big, yummy cups of coffee (I loved their coffee). This is what we got: 1. Smoked salmon and croissant bennie: The smoked salmon was great. My only issue with this dish is that they pour hollandaise sauce over it as if it's gravy. Next time I'd just get this on the side so I can moderate how much I want over it. The hollandaise sauce was pretty decent, a little less thick than what I'm used to. The croissant bennie was yummy, but by the time you get through to it, it's completely soggy from all the hollandaise sauce. Eggs were perfectly done. 2. T&G Reuben: Big portion. This was really yummy and well done. It comes with a side of their "home fries" which appear to be roast potatoes. The potatoes were well seasoned, but quite oily. Would I go back? Yes. I'd really like to try out their other brunch items and lunch/dinner menu.More
