This place is a hidden gem! We made reservations which was a great idea because they were busy. We ordered the donkey burger which was enormous and probably one of the best burgers ever, and a few sushi rolls (Surf and turf, smoked salmon and bang bang shrimp) which were delicious. Kudos to the chef and staff! Highly recommend!!!

Thoroughly impressed with our first ever trip here. The burgers are absolutely the best I've had ANYWHERE! Staff was very friendly and everything was cooked to perfection. I want to try everything on the menu now! I eat out A LOT! Probably more than I should and this place is now one of my favorite restaurants. Can't wait to go back!

If you've ever wondered if butternut raviolis would go well with duck bacon and gorgonzola crumbles Vitor has the answer, YES! We came in for half price sushi on Sunday but had to have something off the fall menu. The raviolis were awesome. The sushi was great. As always the service was great. Noelle and Eric really take care of you. Oh and TripAdvisor is wrong, definitely open on Sunday!!

Vitor`s Bistro and Sushi Bar is an outstanding place to go for a variety of chef/owner prepared meals. Every plate that comes out of the kitchen looks fantastic and we have never been disappointed in any meal we have ordered. Chef Vitor has a special talent for pairing unique flavors together to make every selection amazing. Do not miss any opportunity to for dinner!

Bright, Indiana is a small community located on State Line Rd between Indiana & Ohio. We are familiar with the town but this was our first visit to Vitor's. We were pleasantly surprised by the decor, service, varied menu & food quality; all very good. We did not have reservations on a Saturday but went when the place opened so it wasn't a problem.

First of all, this Bistro is actually in Bright Indiana. I've tried several times to add this to TripAdvisor but it will not accept it. It's near Lawrenceburg, Indiana.. .at the corner of Jamison and Stateline roads in Bright Indiana.
Vitor is the chef and his wife serves Vitor's absolutely fabulous food. They originally started as a food truck and then they were in Cheviot, Ohio, and now they're in Bright, Indiana. You will not be sorry to make the trip. We had the "chef's table" for our 46th anniversary and there was not one thing we were served that didn't melt in our mouth. Of course Vitor comes to your table first talks to you about what you like what you don't like asks if you have any allergies. My husband is immune compromised. (Since you have to make reservations for the chef's table and make a deposit at thst time.....Vitor was already aware of my husband's situation) and so Vitor knew this and had checked up on things that he could eat and not eat and he made sure that everything was prepared especially for him.
The pictures do not begin to demonstrate how wonderful our meal, wine, and service was!!
Our appetizer was a deviled egg of foie grad, our salad was a fried fresh pear filled with Watercress and fresh greens topped with Gorgonzola cheese and a wonderful dressing with a port wine reduction, our Seafood course was a lobster tail wound up tightly and stacked and that was in a Sherry and lemon reduction. Lastly we had an ausa buco made of lamb served over a polenta cake that too had a reduction of some sort. It was extremely rich but out of this world. The dessert was a flourless chocolate tort surrounded by deep dark chocolate candies and sauce.
It was a wonderful two and a half hour relaxing meal and at the end of course beat or came out to make sure we had been given what we expected. In fact he come out a couple of times prior to that. I forgot to mention that while we were waiting for the courses that there was garlic toasted bread with olive oil served.

Wife and I came here with several friends for an evening meal. Had made reservations well in advance and all went well - table was ready and so were we to enjoy some very delicious food. Of the 8 of us this night, all had meals that were worthy of a 5 Star Restaurant presentation. I believe it is advertised as European cuisine. But for my experience, and this has happened twice, the phrase "well done" seems to have escaped their vocabulary. My pretzel encrusted chicken looked wonderful when presented and was delicious for the first few bites, until you got into the center of the chicken breast, and it was very chewy. The fish entree that my wife had was the same. Our friend across the table had the salmon, and again, rare and not well done or anywhere near it. So, I'm not going to ding the place as having bad food. It just isn't fixed to our liking. So if you like food on the rare side, this is the place for you.

Tucked away in the small community of Bright, Indiana, it offers a different type of cuisine for the area. To me, the presentations looked like something you would see on an episode of Chopped on the Food Channel. They are presented very well much like you would see in a very high end restaurant. Yet the location belies the type of cuisine presented. We were seated in the back room, with a very pleasant atmosphere and fitting music played while we dined. We were served some complimentary pork rinds that they make - and these were very light, and slightly flavored. Wife and I started with the Tomato Basil soup - very delicious and probably some of the best I have ever had. Had a sprinkling of croutons on top, but during the whole time I was eating the croutons remained very crisp. You would have expected them to get soggy, but they didn't. The special this night was two 3 oz beef medallions served over a bed of polenta, with green beans added. The presentation was exquisite. Depending on how you like meat prepared, it may be something to discuss with the server. In our case they were medium rare, which means a lot of red. Wife was not able to eat them as we like beef served well done, but we did not ask about it until it was too late. Our fault. I, however, was ok with it and they were delicious. Topping off the evening was a pear cobbler, served hot in a bowl with lots of crunchies on top, but would've been enough for two. But, it was delicious ! There are several items on the menu that I believe I would like to try. The gourmet burgers are HUGE !! The pretzel crusted chicken entree also sounded appetizing. Would I come here again, definitely. I liked it and I would recommend it.

I have now been to Vitor's in Bright IN on multiple occasions and felt compelled to write this review as we have come to love this place. Over these several visits, we've tried many different dishes from the hamburgers to the steak and the sushi. Overall the food is fantastic and the service has been very personable.
If you decide to visit this restaurant, you need to understand a few things in terms of expectations. This is NOT some high end location with lots of frills and fancy decor. This is a small, down to earth restaurant that I would describe as comfortable and modest. If you need to have the high end trappings go to one of the popular places in Cincinnati. If you want good food and a pleasant, low key experience come to Vitor's. That said, don't expect that the prices are going to be cheap, but you get what you pay for in terms of food quality.
This past visit, I again had a sushi roll (Vitor's Special)and it was great. And I say this having been in Japan over a hundred times. Is it the same quality as a great sushi restaurant in Tokyo or Hokkaido? No, not yet. But it is great sushi for a restaurant in suburban Cincinnati. My wife had the beef medallions which were also outstanding. The hamburgers have also been very good. And let me give a special mention for the brussel sprout appetizer and the warm pear salad. Both are awesome!
Overall, I'd highly recommend Vitor's to you. Just keep your expectations in the right place and you'll be thrilled.

We've been here a few times. The Gourmet food offerings are out of this world. Each time we try something different. Always great dining. Yes, the prices are a little high for SE Indiana, but no more than the big city restaurant that doesn't give you the personal service as a small venue. L O V E Vitor's.

I will say my husband said his risotto was very good and the tomato basil soup was excellent I ordered the salad and had salmon added I like my salmon cooked med rare I told the waitress that's how I wanted it cooked she said the chief would be insulted if she told him how to cook it .and that he knew how to cook salmon well ok . I also stated that I didn't like done done
yea you guessed it was really done . I was under the impression that a paying customer should get their food prepared how they want.so please listen to your guest and prepare their food with care I could have been like the person next to us and complained.............. she got a gift card lol

Vitor's is the ultimate fusion of American, Japanese, Italian and whatever else you can think of. They have a great selection of sushi and rolls as well as Surf and Turf. All with a twist. The South Pacific Salad has a very interesting and different vinagrette ginger dressing and was very good. The sushi is great and varied. They also have a great Brunch and a full bar. The chef is very creative and you should try something different every time. Service is very good and it is in a converted house but is comfortable. Additionally there is a lot of outside seating for the summer..

Old building, on a main street in a not very trendy part of town. Pretty small. Small menu but really good and different. Something for everyone. Chef will alter almost anything to accommodate your tastes. Fresh local ingredients. Run by husband and wife. Pear salad was outstanding. Deconstructed lamb stew was excellent. Meat cannelloni's were great. Raviolis were home made and a bit crisp. Comfortable seating. Low noise level. Pretty slow service: food cooked to order and not quite enough help. Owner was quite apologetic. BYOB and unfortunately a hefty corkage fee. Nice outside garden and an nice inside waiting area. Reservations recommended. Parking in the back. Expensive: $90 per couple including tax and tip and no alcohol. Incidentally the desserts are fantastic and one is enough for 4 people.
