One of the best restaurants in Terre Haute. Awesome food and amazing drinks. Our server was Chloe and she was phenomenal.

We had dinner here last week. We ordered appetizers, main courses, and wine. I had the Gnocchi and my wife had the shrimp spaghetti fra diavlo. Everything was very good. The historic building and interior design preserving some of the original pharmacy shelving was a...nice back drop to our meal. The bar and dinning room are open plan, so expect some background noise. We didn't have dessert but the pastries laid out looked very nice.More
Italian margarita. Pappardelle Bolognese with house-made pappardelle. I cannot recall which pizza this was but it was delicious. Cool atmosphere. One of the best restaurants in town. Delicious food!
Honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve had including fast food. My meal cost $41 and the service was not living up to that hype. I was with a party of 10 split between 2 waiters. The waiter for my group was very dismissive and...literally ignored our table. We were at the restaurant for 3 hours from start to finish. Our food took awhile to come out, but was pretty average at best, we did not get refills. The dessert menu was finally presented to my mom, who was celebrating her birthday, and we didn’t see our waiter after that. I waited for over 45 minutes before asking for a different waiter because we were being neglected. After this the waitstaff was confused and still ignored us. I asked for a manager many times and was sent damage control that was not an actual manager. Will definitely be spreading the word about what a disgrace this restaurant is after so much hype. The food was good but our time was wasted and we were practically held hostage because we couldn’t even get our bill. For the record, our waiter was Logan.More
We are in visiting from Europe for the summer and were looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. To my absolute delight, Bar Bosco delivered an ambiance and service that is as impressive as any high end restaurant in Dublin! The staff...are lovely, the food and drinks are delicious, the atmosphere is unlike any here in Terre Haute (which is a good thing). The staff that we spoke to commented on how much they enjoy working here - raved about how they are treated with respect and it's the best place they have ever worked. It's true that the drinks on the pricier side than other places around but you get what you pay for and Bar Bosco is worth every penny. We will 10000% be back. Thanks Ken and Joe for bringing such an amazing experience to THMore
Charming setting, great service, unique cocktails, nice wine list, food made with fresh ingredients and great flavor balance. Highly recommend.
We requested a quiet table with easy access for our 96 yr father. We received a pleasant welcome and our waiter, Jacob was very attentive.
I’ve dined here many times - most all before the pandemic period and with an exception, every experience was really good. After? Not so much. Perhaps the funniest was when I asked for a little extra sauce - said that I didn’t mind paying for...it, and was told the “chef didn’t do that”. Well, chef isn’t the one paying or eating. Decided to give it another try. I want to support local. So, I called here to make a reservation for a party of 10 people. I was told that we couldn’t be at one table and that they wouldn’t guarantee the tables would be close in proximity. Their reasoning was that it was a Friday night date. We could have 2 table spaces for all of us separately, and they didn’t care how long we stayed on a Friday night, but they “can’t” seat us at the same two tables pushed together. Puzzling and makes absolutely no sense. Same people, spending the same amount of time dining at the same restaurant, same night, but because it’s Friday and they’re busier on Friday’s, we can’t sit together? Clue: You’d still be serving the exact same amount whether we are at two tables or one. 👍🏻 I tried to support and bring friends who love eating out to you to help grow your business. I really did. I called another local fine dining restaurant and they were more than happy to accommodate all of us, no questions asked. And, they will get our 10 positive reviews when the time comes. Done trying, done recommending. Just done.More
This is the best restaurant to go to in Terre Haute all things considered. Always good food. Never have I had my meal come out bad there. Great drinks, apps and menu. The atmosphere is unique and an experience. The deserts are all made out...in the restaurant. A must go while in terre haute.More
Excellent food and atmosphere, our server Hunter and the owner Joe couldn’t have been more accommodating. Probably be the best Italian food outdoors of Chicago.
One of the best Italian meals that I have had outside of Italy. House made pasta was excellent. The SORPRESINE CON SALSICCIA was out of this world. Fresh pasta with fennel pollen sausage in a light white wine sauce. Limoncello cheesecake was also excellent. If...you are an Old Fashioned fan, theirs is very well crafted.More
An amazing find we lucked into as we drove through Terre Haute on our way back to Indy. Though a Saturday evening, they were booked, squeezed us into the bar. Ordered up glasses of wine ( I had the Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc ), followed...by a shared entree of the Pear Ravioli with Tellegio Cream Cheese Sauce, and the Insalata Tritata. The ravioli was an incredibly tasty combination of luscious flavors, hard to describe, you just have to try it. The salad was with a champagne vinaigrette combined with romaine and arugula. We ended with the espresso gelato, so good. The music along with the decor made for an awesome ambiance and we can’t recommend this place enough! Get a chance, don’t miss it, we will be going back!More
food: 5/5 I had an Arnold Palmer to drink. Was tasty as an Arnold Palmer can be. My table had the charcuterie board as an appetizer, and it was likely the best charcuterie board I have ever had. It was unbelievably good. I had the...gnocchi con cinghiale (dumplings with wild boar) as my entree, and that was delicious. My table split a tiramisu- made freshly in house- and that was also excellent. (Very heavy on the coffee liquor taste, which I was super fond of.) service: 5/5 Our waitress was very informative and attentive. asides: - ambience: Interior was nice-- nothing noteworthy. Never seen so many mirrors in a restaurant lol. Looked like a mirror house at a fair. The music was loud and horrendous, but obviously music is subjective, so I'm sure somebody else would like it. (They were playing disco and 80s pop hits.) - revisit: Absolutely! Maybe I'll bring headphones next time hahaha. But the food was incredible.More
Excellent server, incredible drinks, amazing atmosphere, relaxed, and never rushed. These things are all that’s keeping the review from being one less notch. Our group had a reservation for 7 pm (They open at 5 and close at 10) and as usual, the place was...hopping. This has become the spot you can’t dine at unless you plan ahead and reserve a spot. You would think this would be communicated to the chef so that food quantity and selection isn’t impacted negatively, but last night it wasn’t. First tried ordering the polenta. Nope - out. So, I switched to pumpkin ravioli. What arrived on my plate were 6 of the smallest, most pitiful, dried up looking pieces of ravioli that I’ve ever seen; it looked like the bottom of the pan had been scraped to make the plate. I would have used bread to wipe up extra sauce, only there was hardly any sauce. For this I was charged $21. I soothed myself by saying dessert would make it better, only to find out that they were out of both tiramisu and cannoli. I get they’re closed on Sunday and Monday and don’t want a bunch of food left over on a Saturday night, but for goodness sakes we were only half way through their hours of operation and this was the situation with a full house? It shouldn’t have been necessary for me to make a fast food stop afterwards, but it was. Disappointed.More
I ordered a campari and orange juice which is a long drink... but I received a tiny glass with a HUGE ice cube in it. It was not campari either but a knock off. The tiramisu is not the spongy cake that is supposed to...be, but a creation made on the spot that taste coffee but is far from the real deal. The food is good, the music is horrible and LOUD. A restaurant is NOT a sports bar, people go there to enjoy the food and conversation, NOT to yell at one another to be able to hear one another.More
