Was looking forward to our first trip back to Mug N’ Bug during COVID and we left because NO ONE would serve us! Yes it was busy, and we took that into account and planned our night for that. Apparently the rules of “turning on...your lights for service” have gone away. My truck is large and the headlights can’t be missed! Then, literally one of the waitresses said “These people (and not me) waved at me so I will get them you all get those.” After 4 people pulled in after us and got IMMEDIATE service we left.
I am highly... HIGHLY disappointed. I always tell people who visit Indy to go there and after that I will hesitate to do that. 😡More
The food was mediocre and overpriced for what you get. They charged extra if you wanted lettuce or tomato on a hamburger. Oddly enough a small root bear was served in a nice mug without ice, but a large was in a plastic cup and...filled with ice. Our waitress disappeared and one of her coworkers had to do her job for her. I guess this place is some sort of landmark in Indy, but it’s overrated. We won’t ever bother to return.More
the alleged pork tenderloin was a ground pork patty, breaded, not a piece of pork. Double burger was way overcooked and dry and flavorless as the burger was incredibly thin.
Guess this must be a local "acquired taste"
Very pleasant and prompt car side service...was the only up side. We'll not be backMore
I guess people go because it's a staple on the westside of Indy but don't see the attraction. Unless things have recently changed they only took cash which is hard to remember. The tenderloin is nothing like others I've eaten across Indiana. It was more...like a pork pattie you get in those boxes in the grocery. Save your timeMore
Diet Root Beer is often not on the menu but sugared Root Beer adds alot of calories. The Root Beer and tenderloin are a great combination. The french fries are just OK but the onion rings are awesome. Hot Dogs are good too. Since it...is hot in Indy now we ate inside the dining room across from the drive in. The food came hot and timely. It isn't fancy and compaired to Wendy's or Mickey D's it is straight out of the 50's but the food is good and the value is also good.More

Hope it’s get better on the food cause I love this place I keep giving it a try an every time it’s a failMore
