Place was packed, the atmosphere felt like an old Irish pub, common large table seating and stages for live music. Servers are super friendly and efficient. The downside is the food. Reuben was soggy, and thousand island was on the side... the corn beef was not a red color but more a dark brown chunk kind a meat, very odd... More

Great food and wonderful ambiance. Old World community pub feel - fireplace, bar, small nooks and big gather around tables. Add to that live music nights and you have a great 'grab the group' and go place. Best fish and chips I have ever had and a good selection of whiskeys!

The atmosphere is great ! The food is not great. The description of the food on the menu is wonderful, however when you get your food it certainly does not match the description. Items are somehow left out? Go there to drink beer not eat.

Took a group of women - quilters - to Fiddler's Hearth last week, and loved it. The food was excellent, and the ambiance was unique, to say the least. We had their fish and chips, shepherd's pie and bangers and mash.... all of which were delicious. Had to leave before the music got into full swing, but it was certainly... More

Love sitting at the bar on football weekends and enjoy pub food. Nice variety of beer to chose from. Dean, our most favorite bartender is always friendly and attentive. He makes us feel welcome and right at home. We usually go along with his suggestions and he has never failed us. The fish and chips served in newspaper is my... More

We saw this restaurant on TripAdvisor and decided to try it out. What a great decision! We were greeted immediately. Our waitress (Melanie ?) was superb. The food was fresh, hot & served quickly. My husband got the meatloaf special with gravy, mashed potatoes & carrots. I had a bite - It was the best meatloaf I've ever had. I... More

So first be advised if it's a Notre Dame football weekend it will be packed and it's a limited menu and community seating so be prepared to make new friends. Also live music so don't expect to talk to old friends after the music starts. Also the street is a mess and parking is tight. After that sit back and... More

My wife and I went out to celebrate her birthday. We have driven past this slightly worn building for years. We went in and felt a warm and welcoming comfortable public house from Ireland. The Salmon was fixed to perfection and colcannon was great. My wife had a fantastic ham and Brie grilled sandwich. The bread pudding was the best... More

We went the Fiddlers Hearth to try out the atmosphere and food-- my husband's Shepard's Pie was good, but the "fish & chips" was definitely forgettable. The Scotch Egg was good. Not someplace I would make a point to returning to if in South Bend again, though.
