This historic mansion is a gorgeous place to eat and also tour. Visited for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The food was good and the atmosphere was beautiful. Be sure to show yourself around the property when visiting. The architecture is out of this world. Take time to really appreciate the craftsmanship of the fireplaces, grand staircase, and build-in bookcases.... More

A wonderful old house, part of South Bend's industrial history; good food & good service too, in a relaxed atmosphere. Be sure to take the tour of the house - it holds a few surprises. WARNING: no matter how small your appetite you MUST have a dessert! I've never had a better cheesecake!

The Tippecanoe Restaurant gives dining a taste of elegance of days gone. The formal dining matches the food in dining flavor. I enjoy the Sunday brunch which I believe the best in town but have not been disappointed with everyday dinner.

Had their duck breast years ago and still excellent. Wine list quite good with two Moselle Rieslings to choose from. Mine was modestly sweet with fresh aftertaste priced at $28 per bottle. Went very well with the duck. Wife had the Reuben sandwich - more than she could finish and modestly priced. We had no reservations in football Saturday but... More

A bunch of nurses who are recently retired have been getting together once a month. All 7 of us ladies were very satisfied with the taste of our meals Grilled portabella mushroom, seasonal vegetables, on a pretzel bun. French dip with prime rib, pasta primavera and a prime rib dinner I have been here many times through the years. I... More

The decor is beautiful and the food is delicious. We've enjoyed many great dinners as a couple or a larger group and the Sunday brunch is excellent.

Great atmosphere, décor presentation. …but do not be deceived. While my wife and I were in town for a football game (750 miles from home) we were told of a great steak house with fabulous atmosphere. That is where it starts and the nightmare begins. We both ordered steaks ($40+ each). My steak came with some kind of cheese sauce... More

It's ok I wouldn't say it's worth 150 dollars a plate, the staff wasn't very friendly either, do yourself a favor.. skip this place.

We went for Sunday brunch the day after a Notre Dame game. Food was outstanding. People are seated in rooms all over the mansion. We were lucky enough to be seated on the first floor near the buffet. After eating guests are allowed to tour the house. It is quite a place. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.

I had heard of the Tippecanoe Place's Sunday Brunch, though we have been there for their dinner before, so we decided to try it. We were seated at a beautiful table in front of a fireplace and were treated exceptionally well by the wait staff. The food was wonderful and we enjoyed everything we ate. So much offered and we...
