Cafe Navarre offers a first class meal in a wonderful atmosphere. White tablecloth dining at its finest. I enjoyed the bass in a Japanese style preparation. Housed in a grand old building, the atmosphere is great. For a special meal. Beautiful bar area as well.

We ate at Café Navarre during Notre Dame's Freshman Welcome Weekend. Not surprisingly the restaurant was full. Even though we had made a reservation several weeks in advance through OpenTable, our party of four was seated in a back room on the second floor. The room had no view of the lovely renovated bank interior and consisted of four white... More

As always, service and food was very good. The atmosphere is inviting. I normally choose this venue for entertaining clients or out of town guests for lunch. I highly recommend their mushroom soup, homemade chips, and lunch entree's.

Wife and I stopped by for a drink while frequenting the annual art fair. Our bartender, Killian, was great as usual. His parents just happened to come in and had some drinks as well. It was an unexpected stop, we stayed for a second!

We sat upstairs, not a prime seating location, the downstairs looks much more attractive. I requested sitting in one of the 2 empty booths, but they were "reserved", although we did have a reservation. 2 of us had the fried green tomato salad, the slices were extremely thick, they should be thinly sliced, the cornbread crust was adequate but didn't... Enjoyed the old bank building with a new and tasty fare. Very upscale delicious small portions. Extensive wine list, wonderful choices by the glass. Fresh catch of the day was perfect.

This is an old bank that has been beautifully renovated to an upscale restaurant with a menu that gets changed up often enough that you don't get bored with the fare. My husband raves about the mushroom soup and I always find a red meat option that makes my taste buds happy!

All meals and drinks were very good. Service and atmosphere as well. Not the most expensive restaurant in the area, but still on the higher priced end. Overall, I would recommend Café Navarre.
