We are on the mailing list but have never eaten there. Finally took the dive (1:20 drive for us). Well worth it. Spotless, bright. Friendly service. SUPERB choices on the buffet... the prime rib melts in your mouth. The fried chicken had no hint of...being fried, was crispy, tasty and juicy all in one (the use the KFC method and recipe as Col Sanders helped them with their first restaurant... read their history). Not much room for desert... if anything, they could improve their dessert table... sort of bland.More
Home cooked buffet style in historic location. The staff was friendly and attentive. They first brought out a salad and rolls family style. Both were good. Buffet was set up with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, corn, squash, Mac and cheese, beef tips, catfish, and...fried chicken. Everything was good and fresh. They also serve alcohol, which I did not expect. We would definitely go back!More
We enjoyed eating at the Pines. They had a huge salad bar with more than average variety. They had the staples of every good buffet in the hot tables. The staff was very helpful and friendly as you expect from small town folks. They have...a variety of sort of exotic deserts but many didn't actually look very appetizing; this was the only disappointing part of the experience. We did find tasty desert however; just kind of weird looking.More
My husband and I stopped in on a Wednesday night. We were from out of town and had attended a funeral service near by. We were told it was a good place to eat. We were blown away!! There was hardly anyone there, so it...kind of worried me, when we drove up. When we walked in, I could see how clean it was. We were greeted and seated immediately. The food was fresh looking and plentiful!! My husband said the fried chicken was in the top 3 best he's had, and he's from Amish country! There were several choices of salads, vegetables, meats, including fish and desserts! YUM!! I enjoyed everything I chose. We even got a 20% Senior discount off the incredibly inexpensive bill! We will be back! We may even do a road trip to eat there again. Seymour Indiana should be proud!!More
Always great food and great staff. Family owned, chef prepares food, buffet, very clean, takes pride in food and restaurant. One of my favorites.
Great food and friendly staff. Fresh salad bar, great selection's. Tons of deserts with ice cream station also!!! 💖
We have been to The Pine’s restaurant a few times. We recently moved to Seymour and love the food here and the prices seem reasonable. The food is served buffet style. Good salad, meat and dessert bars. For Mother’s Day today we went to The...Pines. Prices differ from week and weekend. There is a price card on each table and so we knew each plate would be $12.99 this does not include the drink. We arrived about an hour before the restaurant closed and noticed the food was not fresh and the dessert bar was very limited with items to choose from. After we were through the waitress gave us our ticket and the price for each plate was $18.99! So, they jack the price up for all the holidays without any notice. That is not good business! We will not be back.More
Saw this restaurant while taking a detour and decided to try. Hard to believe it is only rated the 7th best in Seymour. Everything we tried from the buffet was excellent. Everything was seasoned very well. Great selections on the salad bar Very nice choice...of desserts and soft serve ice cream machine. We normally do not go to buffets but this was a great choiceMore
We have been to the pines multiple times. Their buffet has been great. They have had great selections that should make everyone happy. Have to see the Black and Blue Chicken is our favorite. Stop in and give it a try.
The experience is always positive. The salad bar is wonderful! There are several choices of meats as they usually have roast beef, fish, chicken and fish along with a wonderful chicken casserole. You can't go wrong with the desserts that include a fruit cocktail cake...and soft serve ice cream. We enjoy going there on Sundays for lunch as it reminds me of Sunday Dinner with my family in years past.More
As a yearly tradition our family makes reservations for an early lunch in Thanksgiving Day! The food and service is always top of the line!
This unique historical buffet has home style cooking. I had their fried chicken, green beans and corn. I had apple butter on my roll. My meal was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was terrific. The Decor included historical pictures of the building...when it was used by the military. All around very nice dining experience.More
We were pleasantly surprised with how many salads and hot items on the Sunday Buffet. This will be my stop next time I'm in the area! Friendly staff, clean Restaurant. Great value for your money.
Very disappointed! My husband and i went there last night to celebrate our 5th wedding Anniversary. They open at 4:30pm we were there by 5:15 and food was already dried out! We had to dodge flies and nats at our table! went to get dessert...and area was covered in nats, told manger she didnt seem to care, she yelled for some girl to remove items they put them on a tray and cleaned area but still left somethings out.. waiter brought our first drinks and never came back till her brought our bill, i ask then if we could get a drink he said oh yeah .. its sad to spend $36 and leave hungry. it was our first time and will be our last! we now know why parking lot was empty and only 3 other couples in the restaurant...More
