I'm going to start by saying this is by far not my favorite Mexican restaurant, but being as its the only one within like a half hour, we eat here quite frequently, the food is always hot (as with most Mexican joints) the service is...usually pretty good and the beer is always cold.More

Our family stops in here every week or so. The food is good, the service is good. We love the fajitas, the margaritas are good as well!
All I can say about this place is there is a complete lack of service at this place. They never bother to look around or check to see if any body needs anything.
We love this place. Everyone I come to town, the family has to go out here. Very family oriented. Good prices. GREAT FOOD. Excellent service. Lots of good things about this place. You won't be disappointed.
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch together here at this restaurant today. The service and food were excellent! There was plenty of seating and there is a train car attached to the building, which was neat and we decided to eat in there....If your in this area and like authentic Mexican food this is the best place to go.More

First off, don't let my title throw you off. This was pretty good Mexican food! I ordered the fajitas, and my wife ordered the Carna Asada. The beef was very flavorful and tender. My kids ordered the cheese enchiladas. They both liked their meals very...much, which is unusual because they usually don't like Mexican at all. It's not fancy by any-means, but it was clean and the services was good. This had gotten fairly good reviews so we decided to take a chance. I've found Mexican restaurants to either be good or VERY bad, with very few being really good. If you're in the area and are hungry, this is probably the best option for a decent meal.More
I was in Rockport overnight and checked Trip Advisor for a place to eat (VERY few options in Rockport). I wish I would not chosen to eat here. The only thing I liked (being a Train aficionado) was the Caboose that is attached to the...restaurant-although once I was inside I saw how it was attached-with insulation hanging out and visibly dirty areas around it. That should have told me that this would not be a pleasurable experience. The service was slow especially considering there were only 2-3 tables occupied while I was there. I ordered Shrimp Fajitas and the appearance was okay but they did not bring the tortillas for a few minutes! I have never stated this in a review before-I was feeling sick to my stomach within 10 minutes of leaving the restaurant! I can not recommend this establishment- the food was not good and it was DIRTY! Do yourself a favor-take a picture of the Caboose from outside as you are driving by to find a better place to eat!More

The food was great, the staff was patient & very friendly. The chips were so fresh & warm. The kids loved the train aspect of the restaurant. Great place to eat!
It's as authentic as Mexican can be. Serving portions are very large and good for sharing. You won't miss it -- there's a restored 1966 train caboose out in front.
