Hi Sarah, Are you sure you visited the right Bell? We do have Ploughmans on the menu, yes, but I'm afraid without the tasteless cheese and limp bagged lettuce you refer to. Also, I agree, the Bell you visited and refer to seems to charge...More

We love this place and went for a special family meal. Sadly we were made to wait for over an hour for our meals. It was good when it came and they offered to take money off the bill, but by then the shine had...More

Hi Joe, Have just seen your review. One hour? Crikey! -that's a very rare but awful glitch in the system and no wonder the Duty Manager at the time offered to take something off your bill, as this really never happens. Will look into that...More

Hi Joanna, Many thanks for your kind words and for being one of our best parties ever in the Garden Room, even if the shirts were positively awful (hence winning the Sunday Roast prize by a country mile, hee hee!). Rosie looked after you throughout...More

Thank you, thank you Imogen E. Alain has been receiving a lot of praise recently and we like to think that he and his front of house team deserves it! Glad you liked the Private Dining Room / Garden Room and please don't be strangers....More

Many thanks ShellMcG2013! We're lucky to have a beautiful pub in a stunning part of the world - you're right! The fish comes up daily from Brixham, which really helps also. Thanks ever so much for the kind words and we hope to see you...More

Hello Blossom49, Thank you for the useful feedback. Oh dear! We obviously did try to please you by making up a couple of things 'off' the usual menu as requested. We don't serve a Caesar Salad usually (but what a good idea, must look into...More

Description
The Bell has just scooped the 'Best Pub' award in the 2017 'Western Daily Press' Food and Farming Awards and we're over the moon!

Situated in the heart of the Cotswolds in the beautiful village of Sapperton, we are a busy yet beautiful old pub. Frequented all year round by walkers, riders, bikers and discerning diners and locals alike.

We pride ourselves on consistently being one of the very best pubs in the Cotswolds (and the country, according to our lovely regulars!) for food, drink and relaxed but professional hospitality. The Bell was one of the first real 'gastro' pubs in the early 2000's. We continue to serve up the very best of fresh, regional and seasonal produce, specialising in British dishes, regional beers, cocktails and wines personally and painstakingly selected by ourselves on our many wine trips around the globe.

Although we're famous for our top notch food, we're not just a rural restaurant. We welcome well behaved dogs, horses and children for either a casual pop in visit or a pre-booked meal.
