We all had the steak but you have to on your first visit to an Argentinian steak house. There's plenty on the menu so don't worry of you're cutting back on red meat!
The food was cooked as requested, the 500g steaks where generous and,...by my estimate, more than 500g and the staff were there and the general ambience great. I need to find out the liquor they served at the end as it was delicious.More

Your El Gaucho team
Located in Bissen ( around 25 km from Luxembourg City Center ) this restaurant is well know for the quality of its meat ( coming straight from Argentina ) , so we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. The decoration...of the restaurant is nothing fancy , simple and efficient. The service was really nice the waiters were really friendly and welcoming , we really liked that ( they even offered us a glass of prosecco at the end , which is rare for Luxembourg ). Coming to the food , we had as a starter the whole selection of Starters ( we were 6 ) and everything was really good and tasty . Then we had the Argentinean contre filet for 2 person and some had the Argentinean faux filet. The meat was really good , extremely tasty and well cooked and the portion of the dish was huge ! I was a bit disappointed by the side dishes with it , a bit poor for 59€ , i would have excepted more vegetables and other type of potatoes, but thats alright. The i had the Tiramisu ( wow ) very good tiramisu. All of this food was accompanied with a nice bottle of Malbec ( a sure value ) . Overall we had a very nice evening , in a relaxed atmosphere and we really enjoy it . Only negative points are the side dishes and the Mojito ( a bit too much sugar in it ) . The price you pay is worth it the trip. Will certainly be back in the future.More
It's for sure one of the best restaurant in Luxembourg. This restaurant ticks all the box. The owner is always there and 100% committed with high standards. The staff is amazing, the kindness comes at no price. The atmosphere and food is outstanding. There is...no better value for Lunch menu and I can confirm: there are consistent... day after day is great quality.More
I often go to El Gaucho since it has a unique southamerican type cuisine. Everything is good. Really, and if you like a BIG Burger ask for the McGaucho. (I said Big Burger, you have been warned)
The mc Gaucho sauce is also a most...(slighty spicy) and the Argentinian Quilmes Beers is a rare treat. Dish of the day is fast and not expensive.
The staff is also really friendly. (Hence the reason for my post)More
I was here with my family as a group of 02.
The restaurant is very beautiful and looks like an expensive restaurant in Buenos Aires. The house specialty is of course the meat from Argentina. Well the owner is a very friendly man and the...service is very motivated. They recommended us a Luigi Bosca wine which was perfect match with our meat.
Overall this place has avery nice ambiance & great food.
So we gonna comeback for sure.More
I recently went here with a group of 8 people and had a great experience. We were seated in a room to ourselves, which along with the friendly staff made us feel as we were honored guests in their home. Our waitress, Adriana was very...personable made the experience fun for all. The food was well prepared and more than enough for all. We'll be back again.More
Once again we had an amazing dinner at the El Gaucho. I suggest you try the Nachos or the Octopus salad as a starter. They are delicious!!!!
We had the President's Blend wine, which is kind of pricey, but it is a special wine for...a special occasion, and you will not be disappointed. A good and cheaper alternative might be the Luigi Bosca Malbec or Cabernet Sauvignon.
I have one further comment though, I could see that in some of the reviews, people mentioned that the meat is too expensive. I'm sorry but this is Argentinian beef with excellent quality that you won't find anywhere else in Luxembourg, and if you want to have a REAL piece of meat, that actually tastes like MEAT, you shouldn't be concerned about the price.More
