A must visit! For this restaurant’s humble setting, you will be pleasantly surprised by the top notch service and traditional and unique cuisine. Brandy was our waitress and she was professional, friendly, and attentive. We thought the menu would be primarily good old country home...cooking. And while there are entrees that cater to that, and those dishes are very good (had on a prior visit) they also have some unique entrees that are very tasty. (I had the red fish with peach jalapeño glaze, with a cous cous patty and asparagus). My husband had the New York strip steak with home fries and asparagus. I can’t imagine anyone leaving here disappointed.More

We have been here 2 times, both in the past 3 weeks. Each time there was a bit of a wait, but I have to say that the wait is well worth it. The staff AND the food are both fantastic. The prices are more-than-reasonable,...and they often have unique specials. The restaurant reminds me of Mr. Gower's Drug Store in It's a Wonderful Life.More

I love the nostalgia of a 1800s building that has so much history . The service is great and loved my lunch a southwestern bean soup of the day and an open face tuna melt yum ! The little plate of sugars for my ice...tea had a doily on it , how cute is that ?More

Great place to grab a bite while In Nashville shopping. There were four of us for dinner. Good menu and great service. Had the Charleston shrimp and grits, grilled cheese, chili, French onion soup and a burger. Shrimp and grits were outstanding. Grilled cheese, soup...and chili good as well. Burger a little iffy as the bun was a bit old. Had some white and red wine with dinner, very good. I recommend and would definitely go back on a return visit.More

Start by saying that the service was great. My wife enjoyed her Hobnob onion soup and grilled cheese sandwich. I ordered the open-faced steak sandwich and steak fries. . I ordered the steak medium well. It was well done, very tough and was not seasoned...at all. The steak fries were served hot--a plus, but for $16.95 I expected a much better cut of meat and cooked to order. Also they don't serve sweet tea.More

Fantastic service. Fast with refills on drinks. The best tuna melt I’ve ever had. My daughter said the same about the grilled cheese.

We have been visiting the Hob Nob for over 15 years now. We never come to Nashville with a stop here. This year is was for dinner. I had the bratwurst with sauerkraut. Very large potion. I could not finish it all. My husband had...a dinner salad which was also large. You can't go wrong here.More

Awesome eatery in an old Nahbville building on the corner of Main St. Great menu and the service was awesome! The salmon was excellent. We also liked the apple crisp.
