Burkie's really is a gem. They haven't changed much outside. Little surprised their equipment still works. But, it does. It brings back memories of when my dad used to bring us here. My last review mentioned their fries. Well, I ordered some recently and they taste much better. On certain days they have awesome specials. Bummer they are closed on... More

This place is old school. Good old comfort food. Coney dogs, tenderloins, burgers, etc. They will bring it right to the car just like back in the day. New owners have done a nice job adding more and more to the menu. Nothing fancy. Just greasy treats.

I have been to Burkie's Drive In on multiple occasions over the years. The good food and service kept me coming back. This last experience may be my last. I entered the drive in just after they opened at 11:00 AM. They promptly took my order, but it was downhill from there. Multiple vehicles received service at the drive thru... More

My first job was at Burkies in the 60's. They are known for their breaded tenderloins and cherry cokes with a pretzle on the straw (years ago). They have excellent service and refills on the soft drinks.

Before I came to Ball State, one of my friends who had been to school up here told me, "You HAVE to go to Burkie's!" Of course, I went, and was not disappointed! The food is typical drive-in food, but it's delicious! The cherry Cokes are absolutely to DIE for. And the service is typically very good! All in all,... More

Opened by a new owner, they are doing a good job of bringing back Muncie's "Fabulous 50's & beyond," popular Drive-In restaurant. We can pull under the canopy & order over the Menu-Microphone post, from your vehicle window, or drive through, pick up at the window. "Call-Ins" work too, by stopping by "Pick-Up Window," or pull into a canopy spot,... More

Drive-ins are cool, and Burkie's is very cool. The location is convenient, the parking spaces are covered, and the food is always made to order and done right. Do not -- I repeat do NOT -- go for a fast-food burger when you can get one fresh from the grill at Burkie's. We really enjoy it.

A beautiful fall afternoon at a drive in with car side ordering speakers under the covered parking area sets the scene for what was the promise of a great break. And, just a very short time after ordering, a very pleasant worker brought the food and hung it on the window. The small order of fries is basically a medium... More

Fun little drive-in restaurant where you can eat in your car with the tray on your window, or hit the drive through. I believe there was at least one picnic table also available. There was a nice covering over the vehicle so no problem if raining or to just stay out of the direct sun. We tried the jumbo tenderloin... More
