Ate there once recently and almost immediately knew i would not visit again. The food is very overpriced, even for a seafood place. The staff ignored us until we came into the restaurant looking for them and told them we are ready to order, and...when service was given it was with a sour attitude. The food itself is ok, but not worth the price paid.More

A short walk from Porto Montenegro, Konoba Mala Barka provided a delicious, authentic first dinner in Montenegro! Excellent service and delicious fresh fish! We enjoyed it so much, thank you all for the excellent food and service!

For 50 euros (plata for TWO persons) we got one small fish fillet, three squids, three small tentacles of octopus , four shrimps, potato and little portion of black risotto. AVOID!!!

Fantastic food and really excellent service. I can’t recommend this place enough if you like seafood. This was our first date night since the pandemic began and we had a beautiful night. Thanks again.

Little gem! Preferred restaurant in Tivat (only one that we visited twice!) Lovely little terrace restaurant on the small fishing port.. Had a mixture of appetizers as recommended by the waiter. , truffled prawns, octopus salad & fish carpaccio.. delicious! followed by black cuttlefish risotto......waiter recommended wine.. was perfect! Went back a second time.. Guacamole with shrimp. Small criticism.. guacamole was made with red bell peppers not jalapeños 😬.. taste peppers too strong.. otherwise rest of meal perfect. Seabass for myself and seafood tagliatelle my partner.. Service was great.. Wine glasses always topped up, price & setting.. clean toilets etc..More

Absolutely delicious and freshly caught local seafood at Mala Barka, we enjoy it very much every time especially with a nice bottle from their great wine offer. Big thanks to the wonderful staff and chefs.

Perfect for lunch or dinner! We were just in time to try the mussels (recommenced with white wine). The black risotto was also very good. Incredibly friendly stuff too! Overall a wonderful experience and would recommend to anyone around:)

We came to Tivat for a day out and to explore, without planning where we would be lunching. As we were staying in Kotor we travelled by bus, which dropped us at the bus stop which is a good mile from the centre of Tivat....We didn't have mobile data so "followed our noses" and walked down a side street, which brought us to a marina. We saw two restaurants and Mala Barka was one of them. We loved the kerb appeal, as it's really pretty - decked out in blue and white! We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay and two plates of grilled squid. These arrived accompanied by potatoes with Swiss Chard, a local speciality. This was delicious and just right for someone wanting a light lunch. They also serve Italian dishes and dishes suitable for young children. Not the cheapest place to eat in Tivat, but you do get what you pay for a good food and perfect service!More
