We had tried Koto last week and had mixed results. The Gyoza was excellent, but my Habatchi chicken was way overcooked and inedible on the edges (burned). I should have sent it back, but it was late and I was starving. I thought it was...also over sauced, as seen in the picture. Everyone else enjoyed their main course, but again mine was not good.More
We had the sashimi lunch special and rock shrimp appetizer. The sashimi cuts were huge and fresh and the rock shrimp were delicate and sweet. Will go back soon!
Koto is a fairly new Japanese restaurant in the area. The decor inside was very beautiful wonderful wood work. The food and service was very impressive. We ate in the dining room but our next visit will be at the grill where the chef cooks...your meal in front of you like at bennhannas. I will return to dine there again.More
Sushi is fantastic! Nice restaurant with great staff. I eat here every time I come to the area. You don't want to miss this one if you are coming to town.
They have the best sushi in town. They also cook hibachi right at the table which is great for my son, as he does not care for most sushi. The restaurant is always clean and it is very nicely decorated.

This was our second choice for Japanese food (the add for the first place failed to mention needing a reservation). We were promptly seated and accommodated for seating for our small children. Our beverages were delivered, almost as soon as we ordered them. My wife...and I each ordered an entree and sushi. The meals were large enough that we didn’t need to order for our children, as they ate off of our plates. If we are in this area again, we will definitely give this place more business.More
I would agree with other reviews that the food is somewhat bland. However, I ate solo and they were very attentive while I sat at the sushi bar. Ate there two nights in a row because I didn't feel like traveling far from my hotel...so...obviously, the food wasn't bad. The bartender was great. He delivers all drinks in the restaurant and was very informative to both food and drinks. I would come again.More
Visited this place for the first time. There were 5 of us, and I happened to get the worst food. I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and it was the worst I had ever had. The chicken was so hard, like it was 4 days old,...the sauce was not the right sauce at all. I get Pad Thai every time I can, if it is on the menu, and even American restaurants get it right. This place failed at it. Also the sushi menu contained mostly spicy rolls, which is a code for not having fresh fish. Probably would not come back. The waitress was nice, atmosphere is fine.More

Dining in with my friends, best Japanese food around South Bend/ mishawaka area. The Hibarchi chef was very funny and server was very friendly. Full cocktails bar, Autumn Mule & Way Down South are the best!
Ate in the bar. Nice music and good ambience. Everyone was friendly. Menu has many options, food was great, service was excellent and Tommy, the bartender, was engaging and fun. If I had one suggestion, it would be to clean the bathroom (ladies) more frequently....Paper on floor, paper overflowing basket, trash bag on floor and visible cleaning products under counter. Walls in stalls could use cleaning. Otherwise, we would definitely return.More
Excellent sushi rolls. Lunch combinations include a choice from 19 varieties of sushi rolls served with soup and salad. A very good value. They also serve sashimi and Bento Box lunches.
I ordered food to go it was ready when I arrived hot food hot and cold food was cold the way it should be. All items ordered were very good and the staff was nice
