Love this location!

First time eating here. Everything was great! Service was excellent & the food was delicious!! Glad they moved to this location because of the outdoor seating area, which allows you to bring your dog. We got a cheese quesadilla (for the dog), chicken burrito with rice & beans, and seafood enchiladas. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The portions were extremely generous. The service was great! The fajitas could feed a family!! The waitress was very friendly and was a jokster! We loved it! The busboy that carried the 5 32oz margs on a tray without spilling deserves a medal!! Outstanding!!!!

THE PERFECT TACO SALAD

We found this, by accident, discovering this staff-friendly, perfect Taco Salad restaurant. We needed Mexican food, Stat!...and happened upon Tapatio! Everyone was approachable, professional, kind and attentive. Take a hike thru Clifty Falls State Park, work up an appetite and frequent this colorful establishment. Sherri and I highly recommend it!

Very good Mexican food.

We visited on a Monday evening. They weren’t busy when we arrived but all the workers were very attentive. Chips and salsa was brought to us promptly - very good salsa! We enjoyed a margarita with our meal of burritos, beans & rice. We’d definitely go back again.

Colorful interior with good food

Colorful interior design from the seating choices to the murals on the walls. Margarita was good, tap beer was not. Chips and salsa were good and complementary. I had steak fajitas which was large and quite tasty. Restaurant had ample seating so we had no waiting on a late Friday evening.

Consistently good Mexican food

I have been here several times and have always enjoyed the food. The chips and salsa, a key feature of any Mexican restaurant, definitely pass the test. Look for the lunch specials for low cost options.

Very much enjoyed bean burritos which is a nice option while following a vegan lifestyle. Just requested to have the cheese left off which they replaced with a red sauce. It was yummy and overall pleased with our dining experience.

Best Mexican food in town.

It's a very friendly place. The waiters are great. It is decorated with Spanish seats, wall hangings. You get homemade tortilla chips with salsa. I also get the queso dip for the chips. Steak and chicken chimichangas are yummy. The best guacamole I've ever had. I eat there once every two weeks.

Good Tex Mex

My wife would eat Mexican every meal I think and this was our first since moving to Madison. Atmosphere is bright and cheerful. The menu was large and the waiter was prompt and friendly. Our food was well prepared. Note: It gets pretty crowded after 6:00. We’re old. We eat early.

Normal Mexican Food

Service was pretty good. Food was normal Mexican food, nothing special. It was really good but man I tasted it up until the next day. Still worth eating. Tacos are really big.

Overall okay. I had the fish tacos, they weren't bad. My son had the kids meal burrito and rice and he liked it. My younger son doesn't like anything so he just ordered the chicken nuggets; they were disgusting! As if they're not already prepared with a lot of grease and on top of it they were dipped in oil. They could have baked them, it's not like we got our food very fast. The place itself is very colorful with paintings on the wall and painted carved chairs, but it's not necessarily appealing; it's actually very tacky, too busy on the eye. I didn't like the atmosphere. All workers were very serious, no one looks happy. No one ever smiled. I won't be going back. I mean, you don't just go out to eat for the food but also for the atmosphere. And sadly a lot of restaurants just don't have a good overall atmosphere, not just this restaurant.
