My husband and I stopped in just for drinks. The place is lovely, with lots of beautiful art and pottery. Staff were very friendly and made some great recommendations. My husband had absinthe and I had an Old Fashioned with maple bourbon. Delicious! Next time...we’ll have dinner here!More

This place has good reviews already. I don't say this a lot but wow. The bouison burger was amazing. I would drive 3 hours for this burger. Top 5 best burger I have ever eaten. Service was excellent. Wine was good and the band playing...French music was a nice touch. I reserve this statement for the best of the best. It is a "must go".More

Wanted a light dinner so went here on recommendation. They were serving a special drink selection for the beginning of summer. The red wine version was ok but not good enough to have another. The white one was deemed to be "pretty good" by my...friend. The DaVinci pizza was pretty uninspiring. Not bad, but not great either. Service was good though. On the whole it was a pretty average experience.More

Rembrandt's is more than just a place to eat and drink; it's a place to relax, enjoy fine art, music, and good people. With a cozy ambiance that is free of TV's and superfluous lighting, you can enjoy the lovely craftsmanship that creates the space....Some of the artisan tables are made right there in the same building! But the best part of Rembrandt's is the people. The owner and staff are always there to great you with a genuine smile and ready to pour you a glass of wine. Along with good food (not a lot of options for a vegetarian), Rembrandt's is a place that fosters a sense of community. I often go there alone to grade papers and I am so grateful there is a place where I feel comfortable to be a single lady at a bar. It is by far my favorite restaurant in Madison.More

My wife and I enjoyed a nice birthday dinner celebration in the historic and cozy setting of Rembrandt’s. The prime rib steak was excellently grilled and accompanying sweet potato very tasty. The atmosphere is truly charming - we even received a photo of us from...outside the restaurant from a couple passing by. Madison is a magical place filled with friendly and open people. A must visit!More

It was pretty late when we rolled into Madison, IN, and were glad Rembrandt's was open. We had passed by the restaurant during the Chataqua Festival a few weeks ago. The restaurant is a wine bar and gallery, as well as serving a full menu....My husband and my daughter each ordered a build-your-own pizza, which was served on a big cutting board. I ordered a combination plate, which is two appetizers (a humus and veggie plate, and a cheese and sausage plate). Everything was delicious, and the service was great. We really liked looking at the art and pottery on the walls and shelves, too. They both got cheesecake -and really, really loved it! We have already made plans to go back to try other things on the menu, and I am very interested in the wine bar!More

We were able to get to Rembrandt's before the kitchen closed one very windy Saturday night and enjoyed the pizza and salad and a great wine list. Bob, the owner, chatted with the guests and made us feel at home. They are only open 4...nights a week but will absolutely go back.More

The owner was walking around greeting customers and telling them some of the history of the building. The pizza was good and enough for two people to share for dinner.

Food was good, the wait staff were awful. Our group consisted of 2 seniors and 3 teenagers. While looking at the menu, the two youngest (boy's age 15) decided that they would rather eat at another restaurant, so they left. The restaurant had empty tables...all over, but the two waitresses that took turns waiting on our table, seemed intent on getting the rest of us out of the restaurant asap. We ordered a bottle of wine, a soft drink and the charcuterie plate. When the waitress asked what else we wanted, we said we would let her know. We were having conversations and enjoying our drinks and the chartcuterie plate and every few minutes, one of the waitresses kept asking, and we kept saying we would let them know. Finally, after asking us over and over, we placed our orders for the flatbread and a medium rare burger. The food came out quick, but the burger did not have any pink interior, but was rather cooked beyond well done. By that time, our group was presented the bill, without any comment like is everything fine. We had planned to spend some time at the restaurant and even had talked about ordering dessert, but with the bill dropped off, we decided that it was time to pay and move on, as it was quite obvious the wait staff was ready for us to leave. It's pretty sad, when a 70 year old grandmother, a 67 year old great aunt, and a 18 year old granddaughter are rushed out of a restaurant, that is open till 10 PM on a Friday night, by 7:30 PM that is half empty. Oh yes, when we asked for a carry out box for the half eaten Flatbread, we were able to hear the unhappy noises the waitress made when she left the table. Too bad these waitresses didn't realize that she was serving two granny's that usually tip 25%, but due to their rudeness only got a 5% tip.More

This place could be phenomenal, but it misses due to service issues. Not sure if there's not enough wait staff, or if it was just our bad luck. Our server's attention was really spotty. We had to flag her for additional wine, the check, etc....The food was really good. We had the wood-fired pizza (x2) and were pleased. The wine selection (and prices) were really great as well... but the overall experience missed. We passed on dessert because we were tired of waiting. Actually, service appeared to be an issue in most of the restaurants in Madison. Must be tough to get good staff...More
