This is the best bbq in Lafayette, it is above average compared to bbq you can find elsewhere. Can be hard to get into at lunch and supper times, best to go in at off hours.

This review is in relation to my visit during mid-February 2017. I was at Purdue for the BCM Career Fair and made a point of heading over the Lafayette upon completion in order to get the glorious food from the heavenly place known as South Street Smokehouse. I graduated from Purdue in December 2006. While I was still attending school,... More

One of my favorite Lafayette restaurants! Definitely shabby but wonderful BBQ ribs, brisket and chicken. Uniquely prepared side dishes are a must have; excellent fried dill pickles and onion rings (hand battered to order). And an assortment of homemade BBQ sauces....mild to super hot. Wash it down with sweet tea, the best! Enjoy the blues playing in the backround.

I really loved this place. It was my first time and I was blown away. It is really a hidden little secret. Not much space to sit but, food is more than worth it. Prices was good as well. A must eat.

The food was okay. I didn't love any of the BBQ sauces so that kinda ruined it for me. They have some oddballs. A really tangy one and 2 hot ones. The fries and tea were both tasty!

This place as the BEST BBQ! It's not fancy, no table service, but food to die for! The brisket is melt in your mouth good and my husband loved the ribs. Everything is smoked right on the premises. There are about 7 different sauces you can try. You MUST try this place!

Lafayette is not exactly known for barbecue but if you are in the mood you can't go wrong here. They have a variety of meats and you can get them in a sandwich or a platter with pretty good sides. I like the various sauces that you can add if you choose and it is not expensive at all. The... More

Heard about this restaurant, from a Purdue student, and had to try. Found it to be a rustic, but friendly, establishment, with great character. The the food was very tasty, i.e, BBQ, ribs, sandwichs, and wonderful french fries. Will return if in town.

This is a must if you live in or are traveling through Lafayette. Their meaty ribs are delicious, and the slaw and fries are mouth-watering!

The bbq is usually good. I really have no complaints about the food. I don't so much like the atmosphere of the place myself. I feel like I have to be apart of everyone's meal.
