We've always known about this restaurant in Jasper Indiana but never gave it a try. As we were near as supper time approached; we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is very compact but Dennis could get around in his Jazzy chair. Bathrooms were small but clean. We order the Texas-size pretzel with beer cheese. It arrived promptly.... More

Poodlechaser, Thank you so much for taking the time to review your experience with us. I am sorry to hear it wasn't our best. If this was Saturday night, I know we were extremely busy, and I apologize for service. I truly wish that if something was not satisfactory you would have had your waitress return it for something that... More

Great Wiener Schnitzel. Definitely get it Ala Holstein. The potato pancakes remind me of my grandmothers ones. Large portions so come hungry. The red cabbage is great.

I was staying nearby and tried lunch twice at the Schnitzelbank. You'll find an older crowd. Mostly groups in the main dining area and locals in the bar. The restaurant itself pays homage to Germany, as Jasper is a German town. You'll get a clean spot with attentive service and servers in German garb (and white tennis shoes). The salad... More

I have been to the SCHNITZELBANK RESTAURANT numerous times and have always spoke very highly of this place and have always looked forward to going with family and friends. As a reward for our daughter getting a A in her German class we treated her to dinner here along with our best friends, upon taking our seats I look down... More

I stopped in after checking in at the hotel next door and was pleasantly surprised by the beer selection. They also have their own beer on tap and in cans (brewed off site at their brewery) so you can get something unique to the area. The service was great and the location was extremely convenient.

My girlfriend and I adore the Schnitzelbank not only for the meals, but especially for the warm and hospitable greeting we always receive from Jodie. She has made us feel comfortable and at home on each visit. We just love the authentic hearty German meals and decor. It's a very unique dining experience and I recommend anyone visiting Jasper to... This place is everything I hoped for. This was some amazing German food. The decor is amazing. The only draw back is the price. It's extremely expensive but to me it was worth it.

Ross W., Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We appreciate you taking the time out to do that. Price of everything today is a real challenge for us. We are constantly looking for ways to hold pricing to the lowest we can possible do. Again, thank you for the review and safe travels!! More

The Saurbratten was way overdone and the schnitzel breading came off whole. The salad was good and red cabbage crisp. The potato flaxen was filled with croutons rather than the herbal cones that they used to have. The place had not changed a lick. The service was great and salad bar with soup good. The place has not kept the... More

We stopped on our way to the lake, and couldn't be happier that we did. The restaurant has a warm and charming exterior, and it gets better as you go inside.
