I was drawn here by the promise of unlimited sides. The sides were unlimited, but they really weren't that good. Etouffe was bland, chili was too spicy, corn bread was dry, and bread pudding wasn't sweet at all...more of a "milky" flavor rather than sweet. The crawfish po boy was really good, but it was way too expensive for what... More

After a long day working, and meeting up with an old friend I had not seen a while, we decided to randomly ask Siri where to eat close to us. Papa Roux's showed up and we took a chance. What a great decision that was! The counter staff were very helpful explaining things, the food was fast, and fantastic. The... More

My friend and I are from out of town and I read online that Papa Roux was the place to go, so we did! The girl at the front counter ( with the colored hair and piercings) was sooo helpful and did an awesome job explaining everything to us newbies. I got the Hot Mess and she got a fish... More

I review Papa Roux once before, but it was before I want gluten free. I wasn't sure how I would like their po boys without their great french bread. But when you order it without bread, they will put it over rice, and the portion is HUGE! I always order a side of cole slaw to add to it, and... More

I have been traveling from Cincinnati to Indiana as often as possible for the sole reason of eating at this restaurant. They have everything from pulled pork and chicken to alligator. Yes! Alligator! You can buy a Po Boy sandwich, loaded to beyond description or just naked. There is all kinds of fish, meat, chicken, etc. You pay for the... More

Traveling home from a visit to family, we read a few restaurant reviews, and decided to try Papa Roux on the north side of Indianapolis. An unprepossessing strip mall, reached by winding through business and neighborhoods, houses the small restaurant. Easy to miss, but we will go out of our way from now on - we won't miss it, or... Delicious food! The crawfish poboy sandwich was plentiful with tasty crawfish. The etoufee was good too. I lived in Louisiana for a year and good Cajun is always a treat to find. The staff are friendly, inviting and fun. Everyone checked on me as they passed through. It was a blessing! Must stop by anytime you are near Indianapolis.

My son and I got some food to-go because we were late to somewhere else. Had the fried catfish wrap with Cole slaw, red beans and rice, and bread pudding. All was delicious, wish we dined in. Definitely going to stop here every time we come through Indy.
