We stumbled on this gem and were very pleased with our meal. Our party of 4 enjoyed Wiener schnitzel (veal), pork schnitzel and schweinebraten (pork roast). All were delicious. Our red cabbage soup was piping hot. The cream of mushroom soup was flavorful but not too heavy. Salads came from a small but fresh salad bar. Our sides included spätzle,... More

Tucked back in the Sherwood Forest (just kidding, but it feels that way) is the a great spot to have absolutely authentic German food served by delightful staff. Service was great and I was able to meet family there and I hope I can go every time I return to Indy. The atmosphere was authentic, the food was very tasty... More

Located in German Park, the German American Klub offers a variety of German and American food. My favorite is Sauerbraten. For those who prefer the American style, southern fried chicken and even a grilled hamburger are available. The restaurant offers a full menu.

The Edelweiss Restaurant has a wide selection of traditional German dishes to choose from. The food is about as authentic as I have found anywhere in the United States. To bad one cannot see the restaurant from the street since it is on a hillside at the back of German Park overlooking the park. We plan to go back even... More

Although the entrance is a little hard to find, the atmosphere, food and service is top notch. This is a club but you need not be a member to eat at the restaurant. Traditional, affordable, German fare. Great selection of German beer. Every Wednesday is a buffet. You will not be disappointed or go away hungry if you like German... More

We ordered the sausage appetizer. It was ample for the two of us for a meal. It was bratwurst, Knockwurst and Polish sausage, served on a bed of red cabbage. Everything was delicious though we would have liked a bit more cabbage. It comes with sauerkraut and red cabbage, but we asked for just red cabbage. We think they just... More

Dine here regularly. The food is really good. Tonight my date had the buffet and I had a wonderful Jaegrschnitznel plate. We eat here regularly, and when the restaurant is full the staff is busy. But we really like them they are always super busy and friendly. My meal was perfect. The speaztle was perfect the grilled Jaegerschnitznel was excellent!... More

My spouse and I came here for dinner on a Saturday night. Even though the restaurant was about half full, the servers appears to be harried so they may have been understaffed. It took quite while for our order to be taken and for the food to arrive. My spouse's trio plate was supposed to come with rye bread that... More
