Order the ice cream and then they freeze it with liquid nitrogen while you watch. Ice Cream is good. Food is okay. Staff is not always cheerful. Still, it is a fun experience for the kids.

A huge line for ice cream, and the gimmick an marketing around it leads you to expect excellence! Sorry, that's not the case, though the paraphernalia distracts you. The ice cream is over over fatty for nitrogen ice cream; the ingredients are low quality and that reflects as soon as the ice cream reaches your mouth. The atmosphere is fun.

Whenever visiting family in Indy... we have to go to sub zero. They didn't let me down!!! It was great as usual. Now if you don't like the traffic in a city..... then you might have a second thought. Always crowded, but found a parking spot less than a block.... whooo hooo!! The nitrogen infused frozen cream with about anything... More

I have a dairy intolerance so I LOVE that I can choose a non-dairy option for this delicious ice cream. I go here any chance I can get. However, that being said, the place is always so, so dirty. No one seems to ever clean the tables off, there is trash everywhere, the a/c rarely works so its stinky &... More

Cool little ice cream shop with fun decor. Don't let a lactose intolerance stop you from a tasty treat. They have vegetarian options and you get to watch them put it together, complete with a subzero experience.

My family went here on a whim. Loved it. Ice cream is made right in front of you with liquid nitrogen. You can pick from a dozen delicious standard recipes or create your own custom combination of flavors and fruits. We read about critical reviews criticizing staff on speed of service. Come on! They're making it "right in front of... More

Took a group of 9. Ice cream was good and affordable. But, The guy mixing it was texting with one hand while mixing with the other the entire time. Never washed his hands. Disgusting.

I love Mass Ave and this little shop is just so great! You literally can create whatever I cream you want! I went with the vanilla froyo and cookie dough pieces in a kids size! It is a bit on the expensive side, but you do pay for the experience!

Fun ice cream shop to visit, just a little pricey so wouldn't go all the time. The way they make the ice cream is pretty neat and interesting to watch. Pistachio was good as was the peanut butter brownie. Would go again.

SubZero is a fun concept--quick frozen ice cream from liquid nitrogen. You can be very innovative with the types of flavors and mix-ins that you choose. The portion sizes are decent, but the price is a little high for what you get. I've dropped by each time I drive through Indianapolis, though.
