We just had lunch there this afternoon. The domo appetizers were more flavorful than we have ever had. The lamb kabob was also extremely lean and flavorful, possibly the best lamb I have had. A little goofy with the service at 1:30 in the afternoon, yet the owner recognized it and apologized before we said anything. We can hardly wait to meet out of town friends and take them to this neat little place south of down town.

I have tried Turkish food wherever I travel. We are in Indianapolis and Googled Turkish food. This restaurant was beyond my expectations. I will eat here for the rest of time I am here. You will not be disappointed. Authentic Turkish owner and Chef. Beautiful cozy atmosphere. Baklava, which I don't usually eat, as I don't like Walnuts, was given complementary and delicious! If Trip Advisor would allow 10 stars, I would give it!

First time to try Turkish food and this restaurant and so glad that we did. We choose this restaurant based on the great reviews and it did not disappoint. We had the Adana Kebabs and the Sultan's delight. Both were excellent. Really impressed with how the restaurant was decorated, felt like we transported to Turkey. Our server helped explain the menu options and we would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Ordered carry out, Doner wrap, French fries, hummus and Tzatziki sauce. Doner was made with bag mixed salad greens and meat most likely not in house made. Fries were crinkle cut fried from a commercial food delivery service. Hummus was not delivered Tzatziki sauce is questionable based on the other items. In short terrible and a waste of my money.

I eat here frequently and have never been disappointed. As a world traveler, eating international cuisine is a must in my life. When home in Indianapolis, this is the go to place for my taste buds. The food is consistently great. Always prepared fresh and not some snobby overpriced locale, but authentic and great prices. I have a variety of dishes and they are all great. Since it is all made fresh, special orders are encouraged. I like the Lamb Mediterranean without mushrooms or the Eggplant or the Adana Kebob. You cannot go wrong. The sautéed veggies are cooked to they are warm and snap just right. A side of salad and a pudding makes it an ideal meal. I did not realize how good they were until the lockdown ended and I sat down yesterday for a reunion with my fav place in Indy.

It’s a tiny place in an old house so booking a table in advance, particularly on weekends, is advisable. As you enter the restaurant, you are surrounded by Turkish souvenirs and pictures of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder and 1st President of Turkey, carpets, flags, certificates, and other decor placed all over the walls. These decorations virtually give the customers an impressive show of Turkish culture and art. It is a small and authentic restaurant. The menu gives a wide variety of vegetarian and halal list of choices. The food was delicious. The service was great. The spices and flavors were impressive. You must park on the side street (or front if lucky) due to location. Overall, a nice place to go for a meal. It was a good experience!

Very yummy food. Had the sampler platter appetizer and the Bosphorus special dinner (which is a sampler platter too) to try many of the offerings. Everything was delicious. Too much food for two people. There is street parking or a dirt lot right near by. They seemed a bit understaffed as it took awhile for water refills (my wife had to drink some of my water because she was out) but the service was friendly. Would certainly go back again.

The menu, atmosphere, and tastes remind me of many enjoyable meals during trips to Istanbul. This is a source of great authentic tastes and a treasure for anyone in the Indianapolis area who enjoys interesting food. The restaurant is easy to find with a relatively central location. Inside the art and decor are true to the Turkish heritage. It is small and inviting with excellent food; definitely worth a visit if you enjoy a relaxing and comfortable dining experience!

Nice little turkish place with very friendly service and a nice variety of dishes from turkey. We got a salad, zucchini pancakes and the meat platter that was big enough for two - all for about $70 with an iced tea and hot tea. The salad was fresh and lightly dressed which was nice - mostly ice berg lettuce, but still hit the spot as an app. The zucchini pancakes were a bit dense, but fried nicely and had a great taste and dipping sauce. The meat platter was a great way to sample a variety of meats and flavors and I'd recommend it if you have someone to split with. A bit out of the way but worth the walk or uber.

We were supposed to be in Paris this week, but had to cancel due to COVID-19. On a staycation instead. Came here for lunch on the recommendation of a friend. Everything was so yummy. I had a two course lunch special and chose the hummus w/warm, soft homemade pita bread and the Guvec (veggie casserole/rice); my husband had the tomato soup and chicken kabab Adana. It was so good that I added a third course of baklava. The Turkish beer was also delicious. Definitely recommend this place!

Placed a large order at 4:45. Confirmed ready in 25 minutes. Took that as an aproximate as it was a large order. Received food 1 hour and 20 minutes later. The order was incomplete and they repaced two of the entrees with the same thing i had already ordered 3 of! Why confirm the orfer if you dont have part of it and cannot have it in anywhere near the time stated? Food was mostly good, but nothing to rave about. As in the majority of reviews, food good, service bad.

My sister and I stopped in for a late lunch. We have never had Turkish food but when I looked at the menu online I thought we would be okay. The restaurant is a home. We came between lunch and dinner so there was one other couple eating. I just need to learn how to make hummus. Everytime I come to a place that makes their own hummus it reminds me of how poor store bought hummus is. Their pita bread was fresh and had dill in it. The hummus and pita bread was delicious. For our entrees I ordered Chicken Couscous and my sister order Chicken Mediterranean. Both were a wonderful blend of cooked chicken, fresh vegetables, and spices. It came with a salad. We split a Baklava for dessert. It was absolutely delicious. The chef said it had just came out of the oven and was still warm. This was a restaurant adventure well worth a trip.

If you're tired of the usual steakhouse, give this fine little restaurant a try. Turkish food seems to be mostly meat-based but numerous delicious veggie-centric choices are offered. The ambiance here was busy but cozy. The service was friendly and the food was extremely tasty. Not to mention very reasonably priced.

We were lucky enough to get a seat for lunch at this house converted to cafe after a recent visit to the Vonnegut Museum. We both had a lunch special at $14.95. My babaganush and chicken kebab was the perfect amount of food, servied with warm pita. My husband had the lentil soup and Veggie Casserole, a very generous portion that we took away about half.

We had a truly outstanding experience at Bosphorus: food, service, ambiance - just everything. We went for the appetizer sampler for two, the mixed grill, Turkish white wine and Turkish coffee. I've spent a good month in Istanbul and haven't had food as good as here! The prices were very fair for the quality, plus we had a LOT of leftovers (which is a joy, we love leftovers!) And the biggest rarity these days: excellent service. Thank you thank you for a delightful Sunday evening!
