I have eaten Chinese food for 50+ years, grew up in NYC and ate in Chinatown often, so I know what good food is. Obviously, the Chinese offerings here in Indy are not on par with places like NY or CA, but most we have...tried have at least been decent. This place was terrible! Rice was overcooked, egg rolls had been reheated several times and were almost burnt, and the entrees were lousy and very skimpy. Egg drop soup was just OK. Adding to the lousy food, we were also overcharged for our meal. Not sure about all the glowing reviews for this place, but I would not recommend this place to anyone.More

Yummy!

I have been coming here for a long time. I have tried a variety of meals over that time. I find their Chinese offerings better and distinct from other restaurants that all have the same pictures displayed on their menus. The Crab Rangoon appetizer is...outstanding. I love their Hot and Sour Soup. Favorite entrees include Cashew Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, Szechuan Beef, Pepper steak and Twice Cooked Pork. Yummy food served up by great people.More

Great food

My husband and I were greeted as soon as we entered and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We ordered vegetable mei fun, chicken and broccoli and vegetable egg rolls. The food portions were large and flavorful and the food tasted freshly prepared. There is...a drive thru available making Egg Roll King a convenient place to eat. We will definitely eat here again if in the area in the future.More

GREAT FOOD

I have been coming here for years an they are always so friendly an has the best crab ragu.Sweet&Sour chicken is awesome.

Poor service

I’ve eaten here for years, however the last several times I’ve ordered Mongolian beef and got home with a bucket of fried onions. Today I requested more beef after realizing there wasn’t but a few pieces only to be told next time I needed to...order extra meat. Nothing they can do to fix is what I was told! Are you kidding me? I ordered what was supposed to have meat in it! Also I’ve never seen the place as dirty as it was in the dining room today. I’m thinking new ownership.More

Authentic, fresh, & inexpensive!

The place has delicious food, I’ve tried a lot of other Chinese restaurants and I like General Tso chicken, and Singapore fun noodles and this place does it very well! I ordered all that for lunch and my total for both dishes and a soda...was 12.43, that’s really cheap!More

Very good value

I ordered one of the lunch specials - twice cooked pork. The pork, egg roll and soup were very good. The fried rice was good but have had better. Family owned and friendly, Egg Roll King offers very good Chinese food at a good value.

Best Chinese around

Ive been eating there for 21 yrs, only raised prices once the whole time! (50 cents) just great egg rolls, huge lunch portions, not greasy, always delicious! ! Best soups!

Great chinese and wonderful peopl

Top notch service for absolutely to die for crab rangoon. Found this through google reviews and made it a point to have a second stop before leaving Indianapolis. Only slight down side which could not be helped the seating was on the smaller side but...staff was super friendly. Highly recommend.More

When I want dinner

Quick and easy dinner after work. Perfect when I want Chinese food for dinner. Has a drive through. I enjoy the shrimp fried rice and my husband enjoys the spicy verity.

Best. Takeout. EVER.

Great experience. Owner was patient as we perused the menu trying to decide what to get. Prices are very reasonable. The Egg Rolls were the best, and crab rangoon delectable.. Hubby had shrimp egg foo young which was very tasty. I had the general chicken...which was good but could have been a touch spicier. Overall a great little place for takeout. We'd definitely eat here again!!More
