The scenic view is what sells this restaurant. My first visit was with my daughter on her 14th birthday. No one cared. We wanted to order more than we ordered but the waiter never came back after we ordered our appetizers. He didn't deliver our food, other people did. He never came back to refill our drinks. It was a... More

My wife and I ate here on a Sunday afternoon recently. It was our anniversary and we thought it would be fun to try something different, which Rick’s is. We enjoyed dining on the deck, which is covered so that the temperature was pleasant even for an afternoon in the middle of the summer. There was live entertainment nearby, in... More

Beautiful view looking out over the lake. Waiter seemed unsure of the menu. My Caesar salad topped with calamari arrived with just calamari on a plate. Upon request the salad was brought. Another ordered southwest omelet but apparently ended up with a southern omelet. Food was good.

We choose that time slot because the view over the lake (Eagle Creek Reservoir) as sunset approaches is gorgeous. We prefer seating at the tables along the edge of the porch--the ones with the umbrellas, rather than the crowded deck--for the same reason. We find Rick's to be a pleasant, restful destination which also serves really good food. The menu... More

We traveled about an hour to join my sister and her family at one of her and our (former) favorites restaurants, Rick's Boatyard on the west side of Indy. Let me say, up front, the food was excellent and the service staff did a great job in spite of the noise and bugs. Our reservations for 11 people was ready... More

We ate here two nights in a row, which is highly unusual for our group. However, the food was so good that we came back for a second time. Each night we selected different entrees all around but had the crab cakes as an appetizer both nights. They are the best around, with huge chunks of crab and excellent flavor.... More

Another annual visit an it was better than the last time. Great location. You are in a metro area and then a peaceful waterside venue. The lunches were very good. The service a ta slow but that allowefor a leisurely lunch. No doubt we will retrun.

Let me start with the food was very good but pricey. We were out on our new Harley motorcycles (not cheap) and were not wearing our fancy clothing with our hair all curled and almost left based on how we were treating at the door. We were ignored multiple times. Then we were seated in possibly the worst seats of... More

Was totally surprised by Rick's !!. Overlooking the "reservoir/lake" with a Florida/ California style restaurant the ambiance was great. Relaxed with fabulous seafood menu choices. We were delighted with our meals and views etc. Tips: Make a reservation !! he place is always packed on weekends I understand. Also Jazz Group plays on weekends.
