My family and I made our first trip to Mug-n-Bun. I read an article about it in Edible Indy. It was nostalgic. It does not looked like it has changed much over the years. We each got a burger and fries and onion rings. My kids got the Root beer and it was also a hit. It was definitely worth... More

We read about this when planning our trip to Indy and couldn't wait to try a local hot spot that's been around for decades. Unfortunately, we were less than impressed. The food was average and hardly worth the drive. We chose to eat in at their newer dining room building and the service was very lax. When it was time... More

Mug n Bun is a west side tradition! Dine in, walk up, sit outside or car hop to your car. Great drive in food in the tradition of years ago. The only thing missing is the roller skating car hops! Onion rings, coney dogs, fried tenderloins and home made root beer. Nothing says summer in Indiana like the Mug n... More

This is our 2nd trip here. My girlfriend grew up here and told us about it. It's a great burger joint but they have other things too. The root beer is homemade and the best I have had, frosty mugs and all. The order of onion rings is enough for 2.

I am not a root beer fan, but the root beer really is delicious especially in a cold mug on a hot day! There is a good selection of food, and the prices are very reasonable.

Take the time to stop here and eat. If you only eat healthy food, then don't stop. This is good ole fried food at its best. The staff is phenomenal and the food is pure hoosier fare. Tenderloins as big around as your head.

Located in the back of the parking lot is a tiny little building cranking out some of the best pizza in town. It's called Mug-n-Bun pizza and I am not sure of the exact relationship of it to the drive in up front but it really doesn't matter. The two gals that own the place are in there every day... More

Decided to drive into Indy for the Mug-in-Buns famous root beer. My husband and I have been coming here since it opened years ago. Love their tenderloins.
