Went here for a business dinner. Started with the crab cakes which may have been the best I’ve ever had. For dinner had the 14oz NY Strip which also may have been the best NY Strip I’ve ever had. Those with me had the 9oz...filet and the Chilean sea bass, both of which looked stunning. For sides we shared Mac n cheese and Brussels sprouts, both of which were delicious. The drinks were great and service was spectacular. I highly recommend Tony’s if you are ever staying in Indianapolis for business or pleasure.More

Our family had a wonderful experience. The location in downtown was great. It is right near the Memorial and our hotel. The website said they were full and they squeezed us in as a family. He front of the house manager was very pleasant and...spoke with our family for several minutes. The entire staff was very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. Our waiter and staff was informed and helpful. Very good service. They had excellent t music with a live piano playing. Our food of steak and pasta was excellent all the way around. My porterhouse was cooked expertly. It is on the more expensive hit but worth it.More

A month ago my daughter and I were in Indy and visited Tony's. The food was fabulous! The shrimp in their shrimp cocktail were enormous. Their short ribs were the best I ever had. The New York shortcake was outstanding. Matthew our waiter explained dishes...to us and helped us pick out our wines, he was so very pleasant. A month later when I was visiting my daughter again in Lafayette we drove 62 miles to Tony's for another amazing dinner. This time Alexander waited on us and he gave us the perfect amount of expert attention. Arriving just when we needed him but not bothering. He was terrific!More

We went to Tony’s to celebrate a couple of birthdays. I knew this place was pricey and therefore, I expected good food and good service…this place exceeded all expectations! There were four adults and one nine year old in our group. We went early, about...5PM, so Tony’s had just opened; however, there was none of the usual “we just opened so the coffee isn’t hot, the water isn’t cold, yada-yada-yada” you sometimes hear at opening time in lesser establishments. Right out of the gate, the staff was ready to go. I wanted the Chilean Sea Bass, but our waiter, Alexander, told us upfront that they weren’t serving a couple of things on the menu due to the items not being up to their standards…thanks COVID-19. Plan B for me was the 9oz filet. The hubs had the 24oz porterhouse, son had the aged NY strip, DIL had the salmon and our grandson had the kid’s meal filet. We ordered the mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts and Yukon Gold mashed potatoes as sides for everyone to try. We also had their fresh sourdough bread and a couple of salads. Every single dish was prepared perfectly and served perfectly: all of our salads came out together and our entrees and sides all came out together. The meats were cooked and seasoned to perfection-my filet almost melted in my mouth. All of the steaks were perfect. The sides were all delicious: in our family we always want to all try everything and usually there is a side that one person says “it’s okay”…not here. All five of us agreed that the sides were fabulous. And that bread? It was so good! The butters are made in house and complimented the bread perfectly. Now, to the service: our server, Alexander/Xander was superb: he appeared at just the right time for everything. At no time did we have to wait for him. The bussers were just as good, filling the waters continuously, removing plates, glasses, etc at just the right time. I can say without doubt that this was the best service I’ve ever experienced. When we came in at the hostess station, they asked us if we were celebrating anything and we told them two birthdays. At the end of the meal Xander brought out two chocolate cups filled with a chocolate mousse or ganache-again, a perfect dish! The “cups” were dark chocolate and the mousse was a lighter, probably milk chocolate. We passed them around and it was the perfect ending. Unfortunately, it seems those aren’t on the menu, but are available only for celebrants…I guess we may have to go to Tony’s for the February birthdays. Oh, and did I mention the pre-dinner drinks? Two of us had the chocolate martini, one had the lemon cocktail and one had an Old Fashioned. The drinks were perfect and now I’m already craving that chocolate martini. Xander also suggested a Pinot Noir that was on special, so we tried it and it was a great compliment to the meals. To summarize: We. Loved. This. Place. We will definitely go back.More

I suppose there might be a better known steakhouse in Indianapolis, but my meal here was absolutely perfect! An incredible, perfectly prepared steak with exceptional side dishes. Extensive menu with so many hard-to-choose-from choices. Outstanding wine list and service. I can't imagine that it gets...any better than this!More

This was our first dining experience in Indianapolis since COVID restrictions started. The six of us are retired and live in Bloomington and we go to Indianapolis for dinners at nice restaurants. We have been to many of the other restaurants and decided to try...Tony’s because they had excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. We were able to park in a garage next door to the restaurant with access to the restaurant without going outside. The restaurant was elegant with white tablecloths and the tables were not on top of each other. Our server, Alexander Williams was excellent. He said he had tried everything on the menu and would be happy to answer and questions or make recommendations. He also helped us narrow down our wine selections. Everyone had a steak or sea bass and we all thought our entrees were delicious and cooked just as we requested. Salads and oysters were very good. The sides we ordered were generous as Alexander told us they would be and big enough to share. The manager came to our table to see if everything was okay and visited with us a little while which was very nice. He told us about the owner and the other two restaurant locations. Our dining experience was not rushed and our water glasses were always filled as they were emptied. The creme brûlée was a perfect end to the meal. We have found our new favorite restaurant in Indianapolis and look forward to going back.More

Dined at Tony’s twice during a recent visit to Indy. First night was dinner with a friend. Food and service were so fabulous we spoke to the GM Peyton about bringing our larger group for an early dinner the next evening. He was great got...us in and out in time for the game. Tables were spaced safely. All staff were wearing masks. The service and food were excellent (the grilled Caesar is delish, polenta cake is a must try!). Tre kept our drinks full and switched the TV to accommodate our basketball requests! We will definitely be back next weekend.More

I have been taking my crew here every January when we have training in Indy. It has been wonderful year after year. Last year they even went to the restaurant next door to get one of my friends the beer he wanted as they did...not carry it. I am now sending my parents there for their 50th Anniversary! Keep up the great work.More
