Salt on Mass is a fine dining establishment, offering well-prepared seafood (though they do offer land-based choices) in a formal-but-relaxed atmosphere, i.e., no particular dress code. They have a good cocktail and wine list to choose from. My wife and I dined on the Saturday...before the Indianapolis 500 race, so the restaurant was packed (reservations definitely needed). I ordered the evening’s special, red snapper with two sea scallops, and a side of southern greens. Snapper was a skinned filet and prepared blackened. My wife ordered flounder with a side of deep fried cauliflower (half a cauliflower, which was plenty to share and was quite excellent). We ordered a bottle of the Groth Sauvignon Blanc that went well with both of our dishes. For dessert, we split an opera cake, layers of chocolate mousse on a cake layer over raspberry purée. Food was very good but the service was uneven. Our server did not check back as often as she should have, which resulted in overly long wait times between courses.
