My first time here. Due to Covid restrictions, take out was the option of choice. I used the Lung Wah App on Google. My only gripe was that I couldn't customize my tip. There were 3 others ahead of me, so you know the place is good. My food was waiting when I arrived. Food was hot and very good. Large portions.

I grew up eating Chinese food at this restaurant. The food was good to me back them. Re-visited it and was not exactly impressed. It’s been years since I ate Chinese food and I think I’ll go back to not consuming it again after this visit. The shrimp fried rice is okay though.

I order to go and was glad the food was very good and plenty,friendly staff you can get a cocktail in the small bar off to the left when you walk in I recommend the Mai tai go there and enjoy this Chinese cuisine

If you like uncomfortable booth seats, decaying wallpaper, dirty floors, and dining at a venue that USED to be good - this is your place. Years ago, when a woman named Sue owned the restaurant, it was a friendly place, with good food, service to match and reasonable prices. Now, some taller Chinese man owns it and his focus is maximizing profit while caring little about customers or employees (all but one of the former staff have left). Caveat Emptor.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have never been treated so horribly in my life. I ordered shrimp with lobster sauce- when I received the order I tasted it and asked if there was any meat other than seafood (because I thought I’d chewed on some) and the waitress said no. I ate a little more and turns out there was meat! I asked her again and showed her the meat I’d chewed up.. she then asked the owner (presumably) and the owner said no, that’s when they investigated further and I could hear them saying there was meat.. pork at that! Without asking me they began preparing another dish. By this time we were almost done with our other items (egg rolls and crab Rangoon and rice). I told her I didn’t want it because we were almost done, they said they could wrap it up and I said no because We are on our way to Iowa passing through and certainly didn’t want to take such a dish to go! That’s why we’d come in to dine in the first place. I sat back down waiting for my check and began to feel sick. I haven’t eaten meat in YEARS- that’s when I heard them arguing about the fact that they wanted to charge me for the dish. I went up and asked for my check, the owner screamed at me (although I had not raised my voice a bit) and told me I was going to have to take the dish with me and pay for it! I was appalled. I told her that I hadn’t eaten the dish and that I certainly wasn’t paying for something that had meat in it when the menu said nothing of the sort. She caused a scene in front of customers. She even began to ignore me and help others leaving me standing there wondering how to proceed. Finallly her husband came out and told the waitress not to charge me. The owners were so rude to me and embarrassed me in front of customers. I get very sick when I eat meat so this is why I stopped in the first place, I can’t believe I was treated this way simply because I couldnt eat meat. This is not how you do business and they should be ashamed of themselves. The dish was under seafood and said NOTHING about pork; how was I suppose to know it had anything but seafood? This is bait and switch at its finest! They scared my children and stressed me out a great deal. Not to mention the stomach ache I have form eating meat. Moreover, in general the food was mediocre at best and the restaurant is dirty. Overall this place is disgusting and the management is horrible- I would not advise anyone to eat here.
Poor waitress, she was so nice and this is not her fault- I feel sorry for her! She was scared that they would fire HER for this- SHAME ON THEM!

Tasteless, cheap meat, vegetables were rubbery, egg rolls all cabbage and could tell fried in cheap dirty old oil. Eat elsewhere.

I stopped in on a Friday at 9:05 P.M. and while the place was nearly dead, I waited to be seated. When approached by staff they barked at me "we close at 10!". I left. I was pretty sure I could eat in 45 minutes, it was just me. I was the most unwelcome I've ever felt at a restaurant! Wow, I guess they have too much business!

They have a nice selection on menu. Staff are friendly and quick. More food then you'd expect. Have eaten here may times and quality has always been good.

Let me start this review by confessing that I live in the SF Bay area and eat excellent Asian cuisine on a regular basis, so I admit I'm biased. That said this is the #2 restaurant in Hammond so I thought, what the heck. I'd already gone to #1 and was delighted so great let's try this.
This was average. Service good, food OK but not in my book a 5. I found the sauces a bit salty, too much msg and it was obvious that it was precooked as I wasn't able to substitute anything. Food came out really fast (good thing) but showed how little was cooked to order. Very large portions and very inexpensive.

My husband and I are not from around here and were hugely surprised by the superb quality of the food, friendliness of the staff, the cocktails were perfectly mixed, and the prices are very affordable, as well. We will definitely tell others and come back!

I've been coming here since i was little. This is the only Chinese restaurant I eat ate for over 25 years. Tried a couple others but always find myself going out my way to come here. The best egg rolls I've eaten. The shrimp fried rice is devine. Now seeing the other comments I'm going try a couple more things on the menu.

Nothing fancy about this place, but nice food and large portions. Had shrimp with broccoli, broccoli was nicely crunchy, egg drop soup was great, service fast and authentically surly!

Using TripAdvisor, I was looking for a good place to eat while in Hammond on business - Lung Wah was rated #2 of 80 places - TripAdvisor came through again - had the General Tso's Chicken and egg rolls - everything was very good - will definitely come here when in the area again - if you like Chinese, I would highly recommend you do the same too - talked with David when I was checking out and he recommended the General Tso's Beef - will try it the next time I visit
