My friend & I visited The Italian Connection for the first time tonight. We had heard good things from other people, so we decided to try it for ourselves. On the outside, it looks very small. However, once we went inside, it was a very cozy & intimate atmosphere. We started with Garlic Cheese Bread, which was phenomenal! While we... More

Great food, lighter Italian Selections than most Italian restaurants. I had heard the owner sang to the guests but never heard him until our last visit. Not bad, Tony Bennet/Frank Sinatra stylist. All in all, a romantic, fun night with a great meal.

If you want Italian food skip the chain restaurants and get cozy here...like going to Grandma's...amazing food and wines. Don't let the exterior fool you...the inside will warm your soul....I love the pasta Antonio.

Food was awesome and authentic. Much better than the big chains. Atmosphere Is very warm and cozy. Prices not bad at all. This place may look like a small little "hole in the wall" but don't overlook it, best Italian here in Ft. Wayne. We happened to find it through the entertainment coupon book and I am so glad we... We have been to The Italian Connection before and enjoyed the food, and loved the quirky atmosphere. We looked forward to returning, and tonight we chose it for dinner with my husband's parents. It was such a disappointment! First, I don't know if I didn't have a salad when I was there before, or if something has changed, but the... More

The resturant is a small place in a not so nice part of town. The mood is homey, small, with muted light, and nice music. The Italian menu is solid. The appetizer was a bit less than fresh, but the seafood ravioli was quite good. I travel to Italy every year, so I can say this is respectable Italian cuisine... More

You might think that I was related to Alex, the owner, by the time you're done reading. I assure you I'm not. He has owned and cooked at his restaurant since the late '70's and in my experience never misses a beat. But you do have to know what you're getting into. The place is tiny, easily missed if driving... More

This place is so well known but I think it has slipped a bit. Great atmosphere but I would have to say it is now just average. Still very crowned though.

From the outside it looks as if they could only seat about 10 people in there and it is far from upscale residing as it does on a busy industrial type road but don't be put off - run on in. Inside it is kitschy and quaint and dark and could be romantic with the right person. Traditional Italian made... More
